My liberal friend knocked a screw loose
I have a relatively liberal-minded friend who seems to have knocked a screw loose. His latest post on his blog posits:

"You say 'war for oil' like it's a bad thing. Got any better ideas?"

If you have a minute or two, share your thoughts with him:

1. Geez...I don't know....When they start talking like that.....
...it's a sign that they've "crossed over" to the dark side.
I guess what I'm saying is if somebody has to be told/schooled on how to be an intelligent, caring human being than it's already to late....

If that's liberal minded...

In truth, it sounds like "blogbait" to get traffic on his blog

3. Worst fucking War for Oil ever. Bush hasn't managed to steal a barrel
Iraq production is DOWN. Prices are UP on the instability. This Administration can't even execute evil with any competence. $200 B for an invasion and I am paying $2.00 a gallon.

Did you see the Onion point counterpoint?

POINT: No blood for oil?

COUNTERPOINT:How much oil are we talking about?

Turns out, less than zero. Bush. Even evil requires a brain.

6. yeah but oil companies are THRILLED at $2.30 gasoline
Gotta keep your eyes on the big picture and that's that Bush works for corporate America, mainly the oil companies.

Not for us.

Oil companies are experiencing record profits since he got into office and will continue to.

They're LOVING this $53 a barrel oil.

5. "Got any better ideas?"
Um...Yeah. How about finding alternative forms of energy, riding the bus to work, or a bike (not that huge SUV so many goobers drive), turning the lights off when you're not in the room, wearing a sweater in the house instead of having the thermostat at 90F all the time?

That would be a start. Not to mention how much oil the war machines are using. IMHO, that's not a liberal, more than likely a log cabin republican.
