Why Do Democrats Even Bother Appearing On Fox News?
I've seen congressmen, senators, governors, consultants, strategists and other representatives of the Democratic Party appear on the Fox News channel since the network began.

Now, I can understand going on the network initially, back when it was new and not everyone knew it would a total GOP Propoganda network. But can anyone see what benefit Democrats have to gain by appearing on a network where every anchor and commentator is going to just bash them and give them no breathing room?

If I was Terry Mac I would be telling my party that no members are to ever appear on the Fox News Channel ever again until that network cleans up its act.

In addition, once a Dem becomes president, every single media outlet owned by Rupert Murdoch would have it's press credentials revoked. No Fox News Channel, no New York Post, no Sky News.

There's no reason to give this network any ratings by having Hillary Clinton appear on it. No reason for any presidential candidates to appear on it.

Boycott the network, Democrats. Boycott them until they change their ways.

I hope someone in the Democratic Party is reading this and gets the hint. Appearing on that network can only hurt a Democrat, not help them.

and crave face-time in front of the camera.

3. and people wonder why dems are seen as sniveling wimps
if you're any good at debate and intellegent then you can make your point in virtually any forum, even Fox News. If you're going to run away and hide when it gets a little hot then you have no business being there in the first place.

What a load of crap.

6. No, it is not crap -
Exactly the opposite. It doesn't matter if you are Stephen Douglas, a liberal will NEVER win a debate on Fox. They cut off mikes, they edit to make them look like idiots, and use any technological trick in the book to "win." It's patently stupid, I think, to go into a forum where the other side sits in the control booth and has the power to edit.

13. everyone does this but less than is accused of
If you're any good at it you can speak in such a way as to make this plainly obvious or merely impossible.

So the alternative is that there is never any debate ?

5. Because
They are just dumber than a bag of rocks when it comes to handling the media. If there were a liberal equivalent of Fox News, no conservative would ever come near it.

9. i see your point, but...
It's not the Democratic Party's job to make the Fox News Channel live up to it's "fair and balanced" slogan.

If they're not going to do it themselves, they should be shamed. And the only way to shame them is to let America know that they're not a legit news organization.

I'm sure the White House doesn't give press credentials to the Weekly World News. Why not?

Because it's phoney.

The same way the Fox News Channel is a phoney news network.

Boycott them now!

7. I agree.
I see no reason in the world why any Dem would want to boost Fox's ratings by providing them with a convenient target. It's not like there are no other venues to be seen in.

10. Fox can interview Victor Camby, Peter Fenn, Tony Coelho, Joe Lockhart
Geraldine Ferraro if they are interested in getting the perspective from the left. Candidates needing the exposure, Sharpton, Mosely Braun, Edwards etc. won't be invited.

Leading Dem candidates should avoid O'Reilly, Brit Hume, Tony Snow, John Gibson, Fred Barnes and Clown Hannity. There is no way a Dem could get his message out through the maze of pitfalls that the Rove shills will lay out for them.

11. 1st law of campaigning - Don't Preach to the Choir
You have limited time and money to get your message out. Your energy is wasted speaking to people who already agree with you. You are trying win more people, not make other votes EMPHATIC votes.

12. true
But are the people who watch Fox News every day going to be swayed by whatever a Dem says on Hannity and Colmes or Fox News Live?

I think we should boycott the network because without a "liberal foil" for them to argue with, even conservatives would get bored with Fox News after a while.
