The connotation will be that in history books bushita will carry the * with the note -- that bush was NOT elected but rather appointed.

6. The story is
that Trudeau came up with * to represent a point of light to represent Poppy Bush. (1000 points of light). So, Shrub gets the same * plus the Imperial helmet for his love of war.

9. I didn't know either.
I had no clue as to why the asterisk was used to represent Bush, so as I surfed DU, I came up with what I thought was the reason. ::blush:: I thought it was to graphically represent you know, the a$$hole that he is. Honestly, I that was what I thought they meant. It took me a long time to work that out, but now that I have, I figure it's as good an interpretation as any, even if I don't normally go for that kind of language, being a teacher.
