Super-Size Me
For those who have watched this film...do you think Morgan Spurlock sided with the fast food companies or the two teenagers when it came to the lawsuit that claimed McDonald's was responsible for the teens becoming overweight?

1. Probably both
I think he recognized the free will we all possess to choose where we eat, but he pointed out the deluge of marketing forced down our throats from an early age.

The message was: Sure, we can eat where we want. But the fast-food empires target us from a young age and influence how we make our choices. That's the beauty of marketing.

For me, it's like the tobacco industry. It's hard to buy their innocent, wide-eyed look when asked about the dangers of their products. They know what they're doing.

You should check out _Toxic Sludge is Good For You_. It's a frightening look at the magic of effective marketing.
