Is Schwarzenegger imploding?
Am I the only one who thinks his campaign is stupidly showing what we all knew?

He has shown he is not qualified at all for the job, his campaign has been screwing up big time, and his past is haunting him now.

(I personally think that it is no one's business if he smoked marihuana, posed nude or had wild sex (as long as it is consensual)... I don't think that as a Republican he can complain much though)

Could he be imploding? I think yes... it would be nice to see a huge NO landslide, or even if YES wins closely, a landslide for Bustamante.

2. Yes, and it's too bad....
I said all along that we should cheer for Arnold as their candidate...but it might be McClintock or Uebeuroth?? I wish this story could have been "saved" for two or three more weeks....

3. think of it this way...
imagine going to the CEO of your company, and saying, "Mr CEO, I've been thinking. I want a promotion - not just my boss's job, but HIS boss." what do you think Mr CEO would say?

probably something like (when he stopped rolling on the floor with laughter), "Well, what experience do you being a second-level manager?"

"Uh, well, none. But I know a lot of snappy catch-phrases."

now, that would be a pretty brazen and outrageous thing to do, wouldn't it? you wouldn't dream of really doing it. but that's basically what Arnie is doing, only Arnie's going straight for the CEO position, with no experience.

will the voters buy this cr*p???? i sure hope not.

7. No experience necessary
As Mario Cuomo pointed out in the latest NYT Magazine interview, if it's true that no experience is necessary, why is he surrounding himself with people who have experience (Pete Wilson et al)?

6. He has commericals on daytime TV right now
His Engrish is as poor as ever and while he manages to appear sincere, he says nothing of substance and his attempts at inspiring ("Cah-liforrrnia is the grrreatest stat") Californians falls flat as an oil slick.

So voters have a choice:

1/ A hulking characature of a cartoon character who can barely speak English, complete with a sordid past full of sex, lies and srug use, backed by the Bush regime

OR

2/ A slightly effette white boy who loves the police, has never seen a prison he doesn't want to expand and who is known for his relentless campaining and poor management skills who can be counted on to spend money on schools, police and infrastructure, backed by the Democratic party, who won the last election a few short months ago

OR

3/ Cruz Bustamante, a relatively unknown but well regarded Latino who has the support of the Democratic party and appears to straddle the best of both worlds - change the governor on the one hand and get a better one on the other hand but keep the state safely in Democratic hands

OR

4/ Any one of dozens of candidates from wild and wacky to outright dangerous.

I think Cruz will get it, personally. Mainly because I can't see many people rushing off to the poll booth to vote that they don't want to change anything. Not much incentive there. So I think most voters will vote for a change, and Cruz will therefore get the nod.

9. Oh, yeah.
Saw him briefly on the news today. Babbling something about "leadership". It was pretty pathetic, though just a sound bite. He may be in the single digits by October.
