Bush keeps changing the story on why we went to Iraq: First it was the weapons, then because he was evil, and now because we wanted to draw the terrorists out

5. Really? Cuz Madonna just made out with Britney Spears...
.. on the MTV Awards, and I imagine that's what we'll all be talking about tomorrow.

}(

Visions of Britney dancing with the Cobra pre-9/11 fill my eyes, for the irony alone,
Jennifer

6. Bipolar Presidency
He says one thing, and then does another, I think people are starting to catch on.

Bill: The media doesn't scrutinize Bush, but some of these things are so blatant, its hard to miss.

12. a dumbass repuke just said the opposite at work today
I mentioned that, no offense, * had to be the worst president ever. He was like no way. He asked me........Tell me, on 9/12 were you not relieved he was president.

Since I was trying to be nice and hear his POV, I limited my response to "no" I asked him why he was. And he told me that it's because * does what he says he is going to do.

So I asked for an example. He said that * said he would go after Afghanistan and he did. He said he would go after Iraq and he did.

Hmm, how would he have known that on 9/12??? And who cares if you do what you say you will if you're WRONG??? And 2 bully things done out of 12 million done the opposite does not count.

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately since I live in KS and would hate to get fired for not licking * ass, someone interrupted with real work before it got out of control.

If logic really is a sign of the devil, we're all in trouble.

77% of people in the US think that the monument should stay at the courthouse.

We're becoming a laughing stock

BUt what do you expect with Bush? If you ask him if GOd made us, or if it was evolution he'd say: Jury's still out, we need to do more studies.

he's proving that there is a Dem base out there.

calling out the GOP for the hypocrisy when it comes to celebs and how they say they just go for someone who can win, not on the issues.

On the media: yes the viewers are to blame as well, but the media chooses to pander

People like Mel Gibson, Tom Delay, and Pat Robertson don't want peace in the ME, because they don't want the Palestinians in Jeresulam when Jesus returns, because the Jews have a job to do.

Says Gibson is in wacko land, extreme right

16. on his 9/11 comment
Edited on Thu Aug-28-03 08:50 PM by Cush
I was angry at the media for their coverage of the event

what upset me was when people twisted my words to make it seem anti-military.

Bush has a doll when he was a draft dodger. When you fight communism in Texas, thats draft dodging. He flew an obsolete plane that would never fly in Vietnam

He was AWOL his last year, his CO said he never showed up. WHy is this man a hero to the military?

THey wanted this war and 9/11 gave them a reason

He really went after the AWOL point.

I'm REALLY looking forward to 2004. I want Bush humiliated in front of everyone who voted for the creep.

23. I just watched a repeat of this.. Sorry, but Maher is a moron
Maher is not a liberal. His comment on Asscroft was kinda typical. While he hammers Bush on several things... being AWOL etc... he lets him off on some really big things like taking the US to war on the basis of a pack of lies.

He doesn't think * is that cynical, he said. * must have believed that Saddam was bad and had lots of nasty weapons... he must have because I did too. (he didn't actually say that, but that was the gist)

He said some truly stupid things about Mel Gibson's messiah. Put him in the same camp as Tom DeLay and said that conservative catholics are Jew Killers. And said that DeLay was different than Bush because Bush really wanted peace in the Middle East. Yeah right!

From what I understand Maher is a bit of a pinup for American progressive thought. To me he came across as a bit of a moron. He voted for Bob Dole. Sorry to any Maher fans out there... but that was my impression of this show and it kinda confirmed suspicions from viewing him before. While it is good that at least someone with a bit of liberal spunk has a TV show... I'd say it is really just tokenism.

Maher is tolerated by the mediawhores because he is not really on the other side.

28. These morans who think it’s just fine
to round up Arabs without due process always forget the second largest terrorist attack in the US was committed by a bunch of people who don’t fit any “terrorist profile.” What profiling Arabs does do is give those freaks a false sense of security. The shoe bomber had a name like “Tim Reed” or something and UK citizenship. American prisons are full of angry men who are being converted to a fundamentalist Moslem faith, should we just leave them in jail now?

I’m going insane.
