We need an ACTION PLAN

Now that it is certain Bush will lose the election, it is more and more certain that he will shut down those elections and hold onto power by force. To do so, he will have to crush political opposition and THAT MEANS US. We MUST develop a plan to alert DU readers if Bush attempts a military coup to hang on to power.

Those who live near military installations need to maintain 24 hour shifts to monitor unusual traffic at those bases. If you notice an increase in air traffic, such as helicopters being brought in, or if you notice troop movements or rail shipments of tanks, APCs, etc., you should ALERT MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD.

If Bush makes a move, it may be in the middle of the night. We need an ALERT SYSTEM. If those living near military bases see masses of troops spilling out in the middle of the night; trucks taking up positions at major intersections, flyovers of gunships, ALERT US. Even a matter of a few minutes can help some of us get into hiding or places of refuge. Prominent liberal leaders will presumably be abducted or eliminated so as to disrupt normal channels of communication.

ALL DU'ERS NEED A PLAN for how to protect your families and children. The next few weeks will see the end of the America we know and we must be organized and prepared if we ever hope to restore Constitutional Democracy in this republic.

Certainly, these considerations have crossed the minds of most of the folk here. I would recommend against DU as a platform for this kind of coordination. If your worst case scenario fears are wrong, there is no need. If they are correct, discretion is a must.

The GOP is to cowardly to attempt a military coup. Besides, you need the consent of the majority to operate a dictatorship.
