1. Gotta credit Kerry for his role in inching Bush toward more UN involvement
in Iraq's reconstruction.

9. Maybe he could have denied Bush his chance to fail
and prevented the deaths of thousands of Iraqis

21. Bush does have the Bully Pulpit...
... and it is not always possible to counter its influence. Sometimes you have to use someone's momentum against them.

Please don't put blood in the water, it tends to attract sharks. :-)

p.s. I intentionally delayed putting up the link fearing the results would be somewhat skewed.

20.  It helps to KNOW about a poll if you're gonna "freep" it
But thanks for pointing it out to me. :)
I'll get the DDF on it immediately.

3. on now

Kerry: bush has forced states to raise taxes. Those tax increases are bush tax increases. I will build the structure for job growth.. not only use government programs... focus on science and tech...

Dobbs: you've been critical of bush's Iraq policies.
Kerry: president didnt' do hard work of diplomacy to reduce risk to soldiers, cost..

Dobbs: have you heard bush possibly going to UN now ?
Kerry :Would great to have a president that get's diplomacy right from the beginning. Why'd we allow looting and chaos ? Bush didn't have a plan.

Dobbs: Polls show Dean ahead.
Kerry: It's very early.. I haven't announced yet or starting advertising.. very confident .. people will make a judgement on which candidate has the experience to hit the ground running as president ... the months voters will decide.

4. very true
Kerry hasn't started advertising yet. Dean is raising a phenominal ammount of money, but he's also blowing through it pretty quickly.

Kerry is banking his money until people start to take notice of the race. And we've still got until January before the first primary.

As a Kerry supporter, I'm not worried at all.

I'm itching to see a one-on-one debate between Kerry and Dean.

5. I doubt that will happen.
No one person wants to debate Kerry on their own. That's where he soars. Hell, Clinton and Kerry would banter back and forth just for grins.

6. I thought Kerry might to go negative on Dean in light of the recent poll,
like Joe has been doing, but Kerry stated he was confident.

Kerry's a smart guy who thinks things out and sees the big picture. He's working the party machinery: getting endorsements, building coalitions, etc. When Kerry "hits the button", the Deanies won't know what hit them. Kerry supporters and others have been saying this and the Deanies think we're just talking big. Ask anyone who knows anything about politics - Kerry is a very very tough campaigner and this is simply the calm before the storm.

14. Last time Kerry went negative, it flopped...
Now he just relies on campaign staffers to slam Dean.

11. Eh?
Kerry was blowing through money pretty quickly through the first two quarters. Dean started TV advertising in the second quarter and Kerry still outspent him.

And what's with this "I haven't even announced" crap? Do you guys seriously buy that spin?

12. Whatever money Kerry's spent has been behind the scenes
He hasn't done any advertising or any serious campaigning to this point.

Dean is the only candidate who has been really campaigning... running around the country, doing his "I approved this message" commercials, begging for money on the Internet, getting slammed by Russert, etc.

16. Dean is out-hustling Kerry
on the ground. But I think that will only work to Kerry's advantage in the end.

Nobody is saying Kerry is going to take this in a cakewalk. I think he's squeak past Dean in the primaries, and hopefully all the grass roots support Dean has built up can be used in combination with Kerry's establisment support to thoroughly dominate Bush in 2004.

7. NOW WE KNOW KERRY IS CNN'S BACKUP CHOICE
and the poll gives their next preferences down the line, and I do mean down, Lieberman, Dean, Gebhart. So where can I look at who's next up? Clark, a general? Nope never liked stars. One doesn't get them by bucking the top. Brings up Braun, Sharpton, and Kucinich. All three seem fine to me if not to CNN. But the latter two making it in a nation noted for politics well based in racism? Too sad but so. Leaves Kucinich. Now, they say he can't win because of beliefs. Best recommendation I can imagine. Means he may be the only democrat that can. Might bring back to the party the overwhelming majority of voters whose parents put Roosevelt, a real democrat, in office but now don't vote because they've been screwed every winner since. Sorry CNN, that's the poll of reality, my choice as of now, and the way I'll probably go.....If there are elections. So who you for in 2004?

17. Love those gay calaveras in your post! Kucinich is the Real Deal

and gets my support. If people listen to him, really look into what he wants to do, they'll vote for him.
