Bush lied to his wife when he proposed to her.
On CSPAN he just said that when he proposed to her she said yes, but only if he promissed her that she'd never have to give a political speech.

1. I've been shocked at how many times
that has been discussed in various articles, and nobody seems to give a damn.

Hey, is that a flip, or a flop?

2. He's trying to normalize lying. He's saying, "Hey, if I mislead my own...
...wife, I can still mislead you and give you my love, like I gave my love to that soldier's wife -- the one whose husband I killed."
