Bob Novak broke his hip last night.

I just heard this on The Majority Report from Begala. All he said was Oh don't pick on him, he had a very serious accident last night and broke his hip. They think he'll be back to work maybe next week.

I tried to find this on the net, but nothing appeared.

He'll retire from TV punditry tho he may continue to write if he survives this. As has been pointed out here, unless this story is false, a hip fracture at 73 pretty much ends your ability to walk properly, climb stairs or do anything remotely physically straining.

Despite Bob's frequent comments on his excellent health on Crossfire, it's been pretty obvious that he's already got some trouble getting around, so he's no Jack LaLanne in that regard. We won't be seeing Bob Novak anymore on television, and if we do, he'll be in a wheelchair.
