Let's Not Get Cocky
Stay cool. Keep attacking. Don't give in, but rememember the press will now look for a "comeback" by George Bush (just like Reagan did in 1984.)

We will win because we have the issues on our side, but we must keep articulating those issues. Go out there and canvass. But listen. And stay cool like Kerry was tonight.

Good debate, John. But we need three more solid performances from you and Edwards and then all of us need to go out into the streets and connect with voters and bring those voters to the polls.

This is going to be a tough fight. The Republicans will not let go easily. So let's not get drunk with this victory. We need to turn the tide and then keep it turned until we have a new President next year.

1. Good advice, but ...
... this is a well-deserved and much-needed relief.

I have no doubt that Team Kerry will keep their collective eye on the ball -- or balls -- of the Commander-In-Thief.

relatively well among men as well.

He made it clear that the US will always have the right to strike preemptively - but if it were to it better be for a damn good reason. I think some worried that Kerry would be a bitch to the UN as silly as that may seem.

3. You are correct
The "liberal media" is still being quite kind to bush

Kerry won the debate on substance and style, but that doesn't matter

It matters how stupid the people in this country are

Has the country changed that much that they really want someone who doesn't think?

I do NOT think so. The undecided are not undecided for bush, they had 4 years to decided about him, and they are not happy about him

Have the 18 - 24 year old group been heard? No, the polls are not even including them

There are enough assumptions being made in the polls that are not correct. The biggest flaw is the "likely" voter nonesense, and the over-representation of republicans over Democrats

Kerry is going to win by at least 5% as long as there is a good voter turnout

6. People are walking away from Bush.
And they're not going back. He's jumped the shark for a big chunk of former Bush voters.

7. I think you are correct. Many folks for the 1st time REALLY saw the true
Georgie, and it's an eye-opener.

Dirty tricks from the RW are being openly discussed.

Cool cousin Edwards is about to be a sharp contrast to scary old Uncle Dick.

5. No danger in that.
We've seen what these people are capable of. They are underhanded, craven, sinister and will stop at nothing to keep their ugly, neanderthal mugs in power.

It sure felt good to let it all hang out and gloat last night. It feels good to hope for this country again. One day of gloating after months and months of apprehension about this election was indeed a much needed relief as has already been said.

8. agree
Agree that this is only one round. August's Swift Boat conniver's and the smears and lies of the RNC were brutal and this was needed but it will take much, much more.

9. ehhh...I'm going to wallow around in this crushing victory for awhile...
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 07:15 AM by OneTwentyoFive
I know it isn't over by a long shot but we needed this victory and the victory of Whore TV having to break down and call it like it is. This is a major victory for Democrats everywhere and it feels damn good.

I sent the DNC another 50.00 last night,my Kerry yard sign is STILL in my yard this morning here in Kansas,Air America keeps adding stations,DU servers served us WELL last night under a heavy load...damn, I feel better today than in a long while.

10. No, lets get aggressive, and in a hurry.
This is our Battle of Gettysburg. We can't make the same mistake the Union did and let Bush get away. Massive pursuit!
