"I try to keep them on a leash"
in response to Kerry saying that he'd seen the twins in the media.

Is that OFFENSIVE or what??? He needs to keep his 22 (?) year old children on a leash??? How sick is that!!

Have I told you all lately how much I HATE him?

1. Kerry's answer
Edited on Fri Oct-01-04 12:12 AM by Carolab
"Yeah, well, I've learned not to do that". How can women NOT love that comment?

BTW, any responsible parent knows you can't "leash" your kids--they will rebel. Just look at Bush's party girls versus Kerry's steady, ambitious, daughters.

3. just another window into Satan's soul. the guy is a pervert.
he probably keeps Laura on a leash and carries a whip as well.

And it was an unforced error. Well, minor assist to Kerry saying he chuckled at some of the things they said.

4. I thought that was a defining moment
You know how he thinks now, if you didn't before. He wanted to leash his children and still complains about it as a joke.

President Kerry kicked his proverbial ass tonight.

26. Abu Ghraib was the first thing
that came to mind when he said that. It was an incredibly stupid comment, and very revealing.

9. Quit picking on the twins
Given the disadvantages of their birth, they turned out to be pretty normal for spoiled rich brats.

23. Tragic. Pathetic
Wanna know the difference between the character of the men? Look at their kids. Kerry's kids are free and vibrant. Bush's kids are still rebelling against oppression. If it weren't for their Mom, it would be so much worse for them.

30. No one is picking on the twins.
It is their fathers characteristion of them as needing a leash that is the problem.

22. surely some Lobotomized ones are saying, "Bush is so firm"
"he's the strong disciplinarian I like. I'm sometimes a bad girl, and I need someone who will protect me from Osama, abortions, and gays. A leash is just another way we can stay secure since everything changed after 9/11

28. I found the comment offensive, too
Not to mention deeply insensitive.

That's the one that's gonna bite him in the ass in the days to come. Seriously.

Keeping his daughters 'leashed' is only half a step away from good old Private England...
