At the closing, Leher's pupils were dark and hardboiled! His forward was taught and colorless. You could read him. And I do believe he gave Bush gimmes. He allowed Bush to take as many 30 second follow-ups as he wanted. Bush only had to look and start talking to move into a rebuttal. Leher gave Bush an opportunity to be spontaneous by asking him if he was bothered by Kerry's response and Bush said that he was a very calm guy.
That was Bush's only moment. For everything else, he fell flat on his face!
