Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 05:53 PM by mopaul
i have three kids, the oldest girl is 34, a son 33, and the youngest son is 20. i live in horror of my youngest being drafted and going to iraq for mr. cheney's death/money cult. and i'm not real sure how he and his mother and i will react if the nazis get their way with the insane, monstrous draft, for this obscene, monstrous so called war.

but according to the warpigs, this shit will go on for DECADES. so even your little 5 year old boy is prime fodder for the nazis.

who needs horror movies when we have bushkkko?

1. I think this needs to be shouted
from the rooftops. Exactly as you said it. We need for everyone to hear this.

2. My kids are 22, 18 and 16...
I am scared for ALL of them. Plus, I hear they may draft medical professionals up to 44-45 yrs. and I'm 43 myself.
I would hate to be drafted, but it would be even worse if my kids were!

7. I'm a nurse, so both me and my daughter could
technically be called up. My hubby served Vietnam and is now in 50s. How ironic that his wife and daughter could be called up and him left behind.

4. Parents: start searching for colleges in Sweeden for your kids
No deferments, but I don't thin Sweeden would sent back draft dodgers.

5. My daughter will be 18 in June next year.
I'm shuddering at the thought. I didn't bring her up for war and killing. She wouldn't be right for it.

17. well you know what I mean...
I never raised my girl to be interested in guns and/or violent video games or talked about the military or war or nothing like that ever. The most aggressive she's been is playing volleyball or softball! I don't even watch or bring any movies home with any type of blood and gore violence on it and she's 17! I think she would be totally traumatized as opposed to someone who at least has experienced some of the things I mentioned above. It's just very frightening to think of her in that scenario not having taught her. I've taught her to be anything but aggressive.

9. if they instate the draft
there will be a revolution like no other. i tell everyone that will listen. our current leaders have a far reaching plan for world domination and people are absolutely disposable to them.

10. I have a 17 year old daughter...
However, she will be drafted to be used as fodder for Bush's imperialist oil wars over my dead body. Period.

11. Have your kids do this NOW
looked into this last year. In order to be a conscientious objecter it must be proven that one was involved in anti-war endeavors before draft.

My son has signed online petitions and volunteered with peace orgs...not because of draft but because of beliefs. But it's good to know that is taken into consideration.

And I'm really really nervous. I remember the first gulf war, my youngest was just about 1 year old, and I remember thinking "oh please hurry up and finish hurry up and finish please may there be no more fighting"

..........................and here we are.

and NO I DON"T think that we'd be in any better shape if we had kept on to Bagdad back then.. we'd just be further into Syria or Iran or someplace else.

15. Two daughters age 32 and 20
I don't think they'd get the 32 year old, although she is an accomplished SCUBA diver. The twenty-year old is the one I worry about. She is very athletic and would probably make a good soldier.
But she also wants to be a Unitarian minister.

Whatever happens, I'll do whatever it takes to keep it from happening.
