Stumbling drunk Jenna Bush spotted in skanky DC bar
Stumbling drunk Jenna Bush spotted in skanky DC bar
by John in DC - 9/27/2004 02:31:08 PM

UPDATE: In respones to anyone who might wonder about the propriety of running with a story about the president's daughter being a drunk, here's my take. If the president can try to amend the Constitution to pass moral judgment on my family, I can at the very least write a blog entry passing moral judgment on his.

Wonkette reported earlier today that a very drunk Jenna Bush was spotted at a skanky DC bar this past Saturday night. Not to be outdone by America's favorite ass-fucker (that would be Wonkette, not Jenna), I was able to track down Wonkette's source (who I actually know) and get a few more details.

My source, who was out for drinks at Smith's Point bar in Georgetown, described the bar that night:

"It's gross, it's disgusting, it's the grossest bar ever, you would never go there if you weren't either wasted or stupid. The place is like a crawling Republican hangout - they all look like Tucker Carlson, it's like a bad frat boy party. The guys that hang out there are reeking of money, it smells like puke and looks like a basement."

Ok then, sounds like a place ready-made for the Bush family.

My source suddenly saw someone walk by:

"I was standing by the back bar, standing a couple feet away from the bar, and this guy with a Bush/Cheney trucker hat comes by. I noticed him dragging the hand of some girl, and thought 'holy shit' that's Jenna Bush. It was obvious it was her, I knew it was her the minute she walked by. She looked just like she looks on TV, she had on jeans and a tank top."

"She was drinking Budweiser and smoking Marlboro Reds. She was incoherent, that's how drunk she was. She was holding court in back, trying to be inconspicuous. She was so drunk she couldn't even sit up, her friend dragged her to the back of the bar stumbling because she couldn't' walk on her own. She then proceeded to take more shots because, like, that's what this girl really needed at this point was more liquor."

"Later, we walked out through the back and her friend with the bad trucker hat, he was kind of like shielding her from everyone, by this point people had realized it was her. Jenna starts shoving her hand in her face to kind of cover it up, meanwhile she's so disheveled cuz she's wasted."

"She definitely liked the firewater."

Keep it up Jenna. Hopefully she'll show up in the tabloids. That is, unless, they're scared to death to cross the Bushes.

how many abortions do you suppose Jenna has had by now ? 3 or 4 ? Friggen hypocrits, you just know she's screwed every big dumb dirty republican crud that she's every met. Blech !

There has been a poster or two here that have said they think Jenna is hot or some shit. She looks like the type that gets drunk and just lays there, doesn't want her man to use a condom, and calls him Daddy while he's giving it to her.

Not hot not hot at all.

Whoot, I thought Jenna preferred other girls? Can't get too many munchkins that way, can you?

P.S. I agree...it's the hypocrisy. I don't see anything wrong with reporting on the antics of the twins when they are campaigning.

15. I'm "lefter" than most here
but I don't get the hatred directed to the BUsh twins - yes they are most likely vapid and insipid but getting sloshed when your their age is not a crime.

Some of the insults are also fairly sexist - if they DO screw everything that moves, mkore power to them, if it was nobody's business when Clinton did it (and it wasn't) then it certainly isn't if the Bush twins do.

17. They are out campaigning for their lying hypocrite of a father
They are pretending to be a healthy Christian family, a "values" family. They are busily engaged in selling gullible Americans a bill of goods. Damn right they should be outted on this. That's the bottom line on this whole Crime Family. They are NOT what they would have you believe they are. They are LIARS. I would agree that they deserve protection as students, or as private citizens if they were not campaigning. But they ARE campaigning. As Rove said of Valerie Plame: FAIR GAME.

18. nope not for me
they campaign for their father because he is their father and they presumably love him.

Clinton also played the family values stuff and the religious stuff (obviously not as much) and he DID use the "not had sexual relations..." line so presumably his daliances then became fair game too - I don't care what ANYONE does with their genitals as long as it's with consenting adults.

Either way have the Bush twins ever claimed to be saving themselves for marriage, have they ever stated they don't drink or screw if not then they're hardly "not what they claim to be" to paraphrase a song:

"if they wanna take a guy home with them tonight
It's none of yo business"

20. I think by implication they make that claim when they woo the fundies
And it's not their claims but Bush's claims that are relevant. Is he a good father if his little girl is stupid drunk in dive bars at the most crucial time of his campaign? They just don't seem like those church-going down-home folks they want you to see. A falling down drunk daughter, in public, says something really serious about the whole family. Remember when Jenna had an emergency appendectomy and Bush went fishing? Have you seen the quote where he calls them a pain in the ass? Their behaviour reflects on him, especially when they are campaigning. This man fancies himself leader of the free world and yet he can't convince his daughter that it's best to remain reasonably sober, at least until the election is over, at least in public places? I think it matters. I think we have a right know.

21. I disagree
my parents were great parents but sometimes one of their four kids got sloshed. Nobody listens to everything their parents say and frankly getting drunk is NOT that big a deal, I can gurantee you Chelsea Clinton also got spastic and embarrasing at times, guarantee it.

Fine if you think you have a right to know about the twins getting blotto and screwing but remember that if Kerry gets in and the private lives of HIS daughters are on display - the pugs beleived they ahd a "right to know" about Clinton too - they didn't.

22. I disagree with you that there actions are not news.
Implicit by their campaigning for their father, and saying he taought us good values, they have made themselves open fodder.

I wouldn't hold a candidate responsible for any actions of a family member if that's all it was. Remember Billy Carter, Hillary's brother, etc. They weren't part of any campaign. These girls have put themselves in the spotlight. I understand them wanting to be young free spirits, but they should be aware that their actions are going to reflect on their Father if they activly campaign for him. I'm very surprised that they have no respect for their father, and instead of altering their lives for a few months for his benefit, they obviously decided to just do their own thing, reprocussions be damned.

34. You're missing the point! We aren't talking about MY values.
We're talking about their FATHER'S values! It's Shrub who constantly promotes abstinence, Pro Life, Christian "values". It's HIS supporters who view the actions of his daughters as terribly misguided and wrong.

You see, I just hate hypocrits! It's similar to the reason most DUers are glad when a Pub like David Dryer gets outed as gay. NOT because they have something against gays. They are against a guy who strongly campaigns AGAINST gay rights, and the activities of gays, and that he's so dishonest.

You're mistaken when you call the DUers prudes! It's the Shrub supporters who are the closet prudes. The don't do as I do, do as I say, crowd!!!

If they want to take a guy home tonight it's none of my business? Well then why if I want to take a guy home for the rest of my natural born male life and call him my husband is it theirs?

If they and their father care to dictate morality to me I shall hold them to the same fucking standard as they hold the rest of the goddamn world. What the fuck...you think these drunken gutter snipe whores have the right to cast aspersions on everyone else's private lives and are beyond reproach themselves?

And yes...in campaigning for their daddy they are claiming to be saving themselves for marraige...they are claiming that homosexuality is a sin and that their brand of morality must be legislated.... a morality, I might add, that they apparently believe applies to everyone else but themselves.

The day these two little dears take their place next to Bill Orielly on national television and state that they believe that peoples private lives are their own and none of their fathers, John Ashcrofts, or Bill Frists fucking business will be the day that theirs is none of mine.

Until then I'll define and judge them in their own terms.

What a load of sanctimonious bullshit you are attempting to float.

10. Family
My 24 year old daughter and I had an interesting conversation last night when she called me. She is voting for the first time and is voting for Kerry, but not entirely on his views... She is impressed with his family. She said "Mom, just look at his family, they are all intelligent, they speak with dignity, they all have goals, and they are meeting their goals. They have so much self respect. She then said, "look at the twins." They are so much the opposite. This tells me about their parents! This tells me about the integrity of John Kerry and Teresa. She also thinks Teresa is a great model for all women.

According to my daughter, "the family tells me all I need to know about Kerry." He is a good man, a good father and a good husband. " He will take us where we need to go".

Proud of my daughter! She looks beyond issues. She ls looking at the man.

25. This story is not credible.
Since bush* decided to put his spawn on display at the podium during the republican (family values) convention, they are now fair game.

But I doubt the credibility of this story because her Secret Service minders are not present, and would not allow this spectacle to occur. There is the small chance that Jenna could have slipped her minders, but I would need more than than an observation from an eyewittness (probably drinking) that her saw a drunk blond that looked like Jenna bush.

yet ANOTHER generation of bushes. That is how Kitty Kelley described the alcoholism entwined in this family. It's amazing how much of this family tree is stricken with this disease.

They are sick people and I almost feel bad for them if they weren't so damn nasty.

p.s. it's not that hard. if you can't give up titty bars or f bombs or racial slurs, then you shouldn't put yourself on a national platform where you open yourelf up to scrutiny. again, this is a reflection on their parents. shame on sloshed and pickles for USING their kids like this. it shows an absolute lack of concern on their part. shame, shame.

33. That link takes you to a totally different blog
not that anyone here seems to have tried following it to check it ...

try this: http://americablog.blogspot.com/archives/2004_09_26_americablog_archive.html#109631083384339120

This was noted in the Washington Post:

First daughter Jenna Bush was back at one of her favorite hangouts Saturday night, drinking in the atmosphere with about 20 friends at Smith's Point in Georgetown. A witness tells us the revelry included shots and beer. Without confirming specific libations consumed, owner Bo Blair told us yesterday, "It's a bar -- people drink." But: "No problems. Nothing out of the ordinary. . . . They're a really nice group. Jenna's super-sweet."

As the night wore on, the party-loving twin "started to cover her face with her hair," the witness says, elaborating on a report that appeared yesterday on AMERICAblog.org. As much as they love drinking themselves, those bloggers seem to love writing about drinking even more.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A55340-2004Sep27.html

Now, since Jenna is making campaign speeches like this:

"My dad is leading America with the same values he brought to our family: strength, compassion and integrity," Jenna Bush told 150 Marquette University students earlier this month.

http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/sep04/262093.asp
reporting on Jenna's values is fair game. But personally, I think being drunk in a bar is no problem. There's no report of her being objectionable. The typical Bush support may not be so impressed with her values, of course.

And her friends were with her. When Tony Blair's son was arrested for being incapable in Leicester Square at age 16 (celebrating passing some exams), I (and most of my friends) thought the only bad thing about it was that his friends had run off, leaving him to the police.

35. Poor kid
I don't care what politics she espouses, as far as this story is concerned. I feel sad for her that she feels the need to become publicly drunk, or cannot help herself from doing so. I feel sad for her that she can't take it back, she's just out there.

Don't get me wrong... I hear y'all when you dress her down for her behavior. It's just that binge drinking is one form of alcoholism and it is never pretty and the person has to figure out how to get around it.

Jenna, a tip: get control of it now, you'll be glad you did. And get your head straight. Oh, and one more thing: grow up. Not meant as a taunt, but as real advice. None of us has perfect lives. Yours is more well provided for than most. That makes you a lucky gal. Can't you put it to good use?

As for politics, another time. Cheers! er, ... never mind. ;-)

I hope she grows out of the drinking phase-this is sort of the critical time, right after college graduation. If she can give it up now, she might not progress into alcoholism. If not, well, she's going to have a hard road when she does hit bottom.

42. Isn't there a movie like this?
The freedom loving President's daughter.

Oh, Chasing Liberty! Or is it First Daughter?

Ah, I am on the side that I just can't care about drunken Jenna. When I was 21, I (GASP) got drunk! Quite a few times, too! So did almost all of my friends. And I had packs of Camel Lights with me, too. But, because I was a Democrat, I guess it was okay?

Come on! I think of these two girls the same way I thought of Chelsea when Pres. Clinton was in office. It makes me angry when people pick on them. Mostly because it was never their choice for their fathers to be the President. Life is probably complicated for all of them, and I don't want to jump on the hate them band-wagon just because I vehemently dislike their father.

I just can't get morally outraged over this story. Sorry.
