Some Repub SOB Just Stole my Kerry Bumper Sticker

I got a call from my husband this morning just after he left for work. He told me that someone had torn the Kerry/Edwards sticker off the back of my van and replaced it with a Shrub sticker. I was MAD!

Thankfully, I had more K/E stickers so replaced it right away.

I guess thievery and pissing off women IS part of the Republican Party platform.

1. Tape your bumper stickers to the INSIDE of your rear window.

5. That was my first idea

Until I held it up there and realized the privacy glass was so dark you could barely see the sticker through it. I might have to do just that though. For the time being, I'm going to 1) check it on a regular basis and 2) keep a steady supply of K/E stickers.

I hate Bush, but even I would never STEAL something off someone else's car. What a creep. Oh, and we live in a gated condo complex with security guards at night, so odds are it was a neighbor or one of the guards who did this. :mad:

I live in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, a very Republican area, but I have never had a problem. I second the idea of taping them inside the car- that's what I do!

8. My sister had 2 Bumper Banners stolen off her car.

7. Before you apply a Kerry sticker

score it diagonally in a few places with a razor blade, but don't slice all the way across, just about half way. When you apply it, it will look normal, but when someone tries to rip it off it will just come off a piece at a time.

Slap it over the Bush sticker in a way that indicates you changed your mind. That is, leave the Bush sticker on your car, but overlay the Kerry sticker so people can still tell that the Bush sticker is there. Gives other people "permission" to change their minds.

Taped his inside the car window, but not because he was worried someone would steal it. He put it there because he does not want any stickers on his car.

We live in Illinois so most people here support Kerry.

10. Some anti-theft advice:

Coat your signs (if they're the slick, waterproof kind) and bumper stickers with a nice, gooey layer of Vaseline or Ben-Gay. It's a little trick I learned during the Cliton/Gore campaign when yard signs were being stolen as fast as we could put them up. Believe me, that simple solution stopped the thefts practically overnight! :)

25. I made my own.

I got some magnet sheets for my printer and then went to this site: http://www.kerrysupport.com/issues.html

Go down to the Kerry-Edwards sign and stickers section and print out what you want. The magnet sheets I got are not waterproof so I put clear tape over them and cut them out.

I've already had one stolen but immediately had a backup. Since they are magnets I can remove the bumper sticker if I'm in a location where it might be stolen.
