Another stupid, reckless conservative.
Edited on Sun Sep-26-04 01:45 PM by NightTrain
So I'm driving home from the grocery store today and am waiting at a red light on a four-lane street. Behind me is a pick-up truck whose occupant looks like your typical victim of severe testosterone poisoning.

When the light turns green, the guy in the pick-up truck lays in on his accelerator, making his tires squeal as he passes me on the right and goddamned near slams into the car ahead of me before managing to wiggle his way in between that car and mine. I'm about to wonder what kind of a death-wishing moron the guy must be, when I notice his bumper stickers. To wit:

GUN CONTROL MEANS USING BOTH HANDS.

NEXT TIME YOU THINK YOU'RE PERFECT, TRY WALKING ON WATER.

And of course:

BUSH/CHENEY '04.

Now it all makes sense! Assuming he's able to read, that jerk-off must have seen my bumper stickers when he was behind me, and wanted to to show me that not everyone agrees with my anti-American ways. Never mind that he almost caused a three-car pile-up as he illegally passed me on the right and cut in front of me. What's important is that a god-fearing, flag-worshiping patriot stuck it to a got-damn librul!

Have I mentioned tonight how much I hate these people?

They love to kill people with their cars just like with their guns and wars. Bunch of psychopaths.

Nuff said

Edited to add this statement...

I'm not saying that any one political group has bad drivers (they all do) but the above statement is plain stupid.

28. What's wrong is that the statement cannot be proven but can be easily
disproven by finding one exception to the rule.

3. Had a similar experience.
Was about to pull away from the pump at the gas station, when ugly, bigass truck comes barrelling out in front of me, probably going about 40-45 in a parking lot. Well, I'm pissed, but pull out behind him. That's when I see his bumper sticker:

"Vote Democratic. It's easier than working."

4. Don't be silly
You don't hate Republicans. You are disgusted by assholes, many of whom gravitate to the Republican Party. I've read your posts ... you don't hate real Republicans. You hate fascists.

Many Republicans are sane, decent, nice people with a view of politics somewhat different from ours. We can do business with such people. Unfortunately, the Republican Party is rapidly becoming dominated by fascist elements that appeal to simple minded, easily led, brutish people who use motorvehicle violence to express their political views. As this trend continues, expect to see more and more recovering Republicans attending Democratic meetups. You won't hate them, and they won't disgust you.

"By their fruits, ye shall know them." We smell it. It is rotten to the core. Thus we know who and what we are dealing with today. Many of our Republican friends are smelling it, too.

Finding the blessing in such experiences can be an art - one in which we're not trained or experienced. I can only regard the lives of such people as miserable and morally impoverished. That's sad.

When I regard such as them, I voice a prayer to the Great Spirit. The only valid prayer is one of gratitude - gratitude for seeing the choice and making the choice to see things differently than such fear-ridden and angry people.

Then I cathartically envision myself in an Abrams tank blowing the fucker to kingdom come.
