Republikkkan--party of the white male
Isn't that true?

I work with guys who I know can't stand, "Them damn minorities suckin up the welfare". And women are thought of as toys.

That is what I think is the underlying angst coming from the white male, in the middle to lower income levels, that vote for Shrub.

They are an angry strange crowd that cloaks their hatred in a psuedo-patriotism/Christianity.

3. If you take people that have limited intelligence......
Spend the last thirty years gradually eroding their once privileged spot in the society by such means as Civil Rights, Gender Equality and Globalization

You are going to get people looking to see where they've been victimized.

Rather than see how the Republican businessmen have devalued all that they used to do as work, they take the easy way out and blame the people that are even lower on the socio-economic scale.

Most of these guys were raised with a certain set of expectations, and these expectations have been destroyed.

This is also manifest in the anti-intellectualism that is so rampant today.

The reason they seem to hate evolution is that they are its victims.............

4. Unfortunately, I know one with a PhD.
Sad case. The good thing, though, is that he's intelligent enough to know when you're too intelligent to believe his crap. Too bad his son isn't.

10. I knew a few with PhDs.
But at that time they had to work under me, their manager. It didn't change their views though. Although they showed me reluctant respect, they still treated their wives like children and their girlfriends like toys.

5. As a white male...
Yes, I know, you didn't mean me.

My grandfather, who grew up in the 1920's and 30's, called the Republicans "The Party of the Robber Barons". Which they are. Not the party of the rich, but the party of the dishonest rich. Add to that the Saulist Psuedo Christians and unthinking 'Patriotism is a bumper sticker' crowd, and that's about it.

9. Rich white heterosexual Christian male
The thing that pisses me off is that they use a "feel-good" campaign (despite the fact that situations here and at home are shit) and try to run on a "big tent" policy (we accept all races, religions, etc.). But its bullshit.

When I watched the Republican convention, it seemed like they were trying to pretend that they were progressives.

Its all lies, though. They don't want to pass meaningful legislation that will help average Americans. If they did, they would have done so already. They have the White House and both houses of Congress.

They just don't give a shit about anyone except for rich, white, heterosexual Christian men.

The only thing I can't figure out is, why are so many people who don't fit that specific category voting against their own best interest and the best interest of the country? Why are they voting for the Republicans?

Oh, yeah... 9/11. My bad. Almost forgot.
