Howard Dean is a phenomenon...
energetic, passionate and mesmerizing. There has been no one person before him who has garnered so much attention in such a short period of time with the exception of Bill Clinton. Even then, when Bill Clinton burst on the scene he was more known for his sexual proclivities rather than for his ideas---at least that's how the media preferred to portray him. Clinton's intelligence and political brilliance soon transcended the sex hype and people really started listening to what he was saying, much to the chagrin of the Republican president.

Bye, bye George Herbert Walker Bush.

Dean has also shown a great deal of fund-raising prowess which has surprised many critics and has drawn huge crowds at his appearances.

I think history will repeat itself and in 2004 it will be:

Bye, bye George Walker Bush and HELLO, PRESIDENT DEAN!

DEAN in 2004....

4. There's Dean and then there's the phenomenon. . .

"Professional politicos have been stunned by the "Howard Dean phenomenon." But they're missing the significance of his surge. They're focusing on Dean rather than on the phenomenon, which is that there is a roiled group of unaligned voters looking for someone who thinks like them. Dean didn't create this phenomenon; it created him."

"And the next election may well be won by a progressive candidate who can harness their anger."

5. The Dean campaign has become a movement
If you don't believe it, check out the blog, it is mentioned in almost every thread. This campaign is a symbol of taking our country back, but it won't stop with getting Dean to the White House.

This campaign is the first decentralized campaigns in a good long while. We also see the same sentiment in the draft Clark effort. If Dean and Clark teams hook up, dumbya can just pack his bags now, they'll eat his lunch, and even the evil KKKarl Rove won't be able to save chimpy cowboy.
