Anyone else read bartcop?
I visit his site every day, but I'm growing weary of his constant complaints about John Kerry (how he's supposedly "not trying hard enough" or he's letting the GOP make the rules for the debates, etc.). According to what I read on DU, from people who watch the news networks every day, Kerry is making remarkable progress, and *is* fighting with everything he's got. Does anyone else feel the same way bout the negativity on bartcop?

1. I left as a regular bartcop reader because of his constant whining
and carping.

I could never get a sense he was interested in "doing" anything but bitching and posting silly graphics on his page. That got old after a while.

Just my .02 worth.

7. You're right. We do need every Dem voice we can get.
And I agree that he must have a faithful core of Dem readers. That's good, not bad, for sure.

Now the forum/messageboard that is attached to his site is full of smart, interesting and well-versed Democrats. I like to read the messageboard for Bartcop--good posters there.

5. I agree.
It has become tiresome. Compared to DU his site is always old news when I go there.

2. I disagree with him about a few things,
such as his love of Las Vegas and his reliance on his firearms, but I admire his tenacity over these long hard months, and I agree with him that Democrats don't kick back hard enough. It can be done without pandering and without dirty tricks; the Tom Daschle/Nancy Pelosi model of partisan discourse just doesn't cut it, and Barcop always points this out.

4. Bartcop
Has begun to bother me as well. Between his worship of Shirley Manson(?) and his caterwauling about Kerry's inadequacies, there's not much there there.

6. Me, too.
Since Bart tried to go radio on us, his site content has been sparse and repetitive.

Yawn.

I check his site if I have time, but that's not very often.

And his was the first blog I ever read daily.

I know he's sick, but neglecting the blog is, IMHO, a big mistake.

8. At least he turned me on to "Disinfotainment Today"
through the Bartcop Entertainment link. If you've never read this, you must do so next week. He used to be up every Tuesday, but now it's become Wednesdays. Good tinfoil stuff, weird stuff, true stuff you might not find elsewhere, fun links, great quotes. Gets me thinking every time.

Can't bash the Bart, although I have been getting a bit worn out with his carping on Kerry. If anyone is sitting on a fence and reading his blog, I feel this could turn them off to Kerry.

Could be because Bart lives in Oklahoma and doesn't get much of the Kerry message other than through the media filter, and we all know what that's like. I find that here in Texas no one gets anything but that Kerry flip flops and windsurfs. My good Kerry vibes have developed through DU, Buzzflash, Truthout and battleground state newspapers.

9. Every day
He's fantastic, and makes valid points about the democratic party's failure to oppose the repugs. This is something which is frankly missing here (shouted down when it does appear) We need to have a realistic view of the positives and negatives in our party. We can't sit around with our heads in the sand saying "but he's a closer" until Nov 3rd.

The rules for the debates are a sham. I for one and sorely dissapointed about Kerry's failure to demand a format which would have provided substantive debate.

Bart ROCKS!

10. I still love BartCop
He serves a purpose, to remind us who and what we're up against and that, dadburnit, we have to fight. He's lightened up on Kerry since the Senator has come out fighting as of late (and, hey, didn't he NEED to do just that?!) If only Democrats had fought harder in 2000 and during these last three plus years, things might not be in such a mess in our country. I'm a lifelong Democrat but I recognize that our elected officials in the Democratic party roll over much too easily to the GOP.

I try to read Bart every day. I don't agree with him on everything, but then I can't think of any blogger that I always agree with. Bart (along with DU) keeps me fired up. Maybe it's because we come from the same parts -- I identify with the way he talks. Like Bart, I backed Wesley Clark in the primaries because I knew the General would stand up to BushCo, Rove, etc....and, yes, I 100% back John Kerry now, no question. And I think Bart does too. He's just more direct than most in getting his point across that you have to fight back against the GOP machine.

Long live BartCop. I hope he and his passion are around for many years to come.

Smooches to Bart!

11. Yes I read Bartcop and no I don't feel the same way you do.
I don't agree with Bart on everything but I do agree with him that Kerry (and many other Democrats ever since Drunkie McDumbass was installed) isn't going all out as if lives depend on it. They do, and the Kerry Big Hammer should be pounding as hard, as often and as loud as it can. Never letting up on the goat vomit vermin aka the gop:grr:

Bart hasn't lost touch with his anger and outrage with the Bush Family Evil Empire and neither have I:grr:

Never let us forget Bart and keep growing that Big Hammer:thumbsup:

Oh, alright, I'll admit that I do read quite a bit of bartcop's more-or-less daily rantings. Don't be so hard on bartcop - he's pushing hard, and he admits that from the get-go.

15. Bartcop is a good site. He is a fighter and a good Democrat.
I have not posted there much lately, as it was so hard to do so during the primaries. It was a Clark board early on, so much so that many left for a while.

That said, I respect many of the folks there and post occasionally.

Bartcop called me one night, and he is quite a guy. Funny, outspoken, and a fighter. I think he usually calls those who donate.

Just because someone tries to put a fire under the party does not make them negative or disloyal. I have been accused of such myself quite often..

The party needed a fire lit. Kerry is fighting back harder, but he was not for a while. I am glad he is.

16. i read him daily--he's relentless
I'm just glad he's on our side....lol

He's crude, but effective, and well-informed...as far as his own style of delivering his message goes, it's not that different from the hardcore RWers, which i think makes him all the more unique...

he serves as a reminder of WHY we as dems should all be PISSED, constantly, since the clown got in office

17. BartCop is ONE of a kind.
I haven’t posted a message in a long time, but some of my fellow DUERS have pissed me off. After the theft of the presidency in 2000, BartCop was one of the few bloggers that helped keep me from going insane. BartCop helped me realize others shared my views. Why are you criticizing one of the first dissenters? Remember when we all laughed at the pink tutu democrats and wanted to scream, “What the f*** are you doing!” Also, there was a time when the next day was soon enough.
Today we all want instant gratification so we log on to the Kos, DU, MyDD, etc…, to read what is happening NOW and get instant analysis. All of these bloggers have a legion of helpers and guest bloggers. BartCop is only ONE. Give him a break. BartCop is one of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18. I gotta admit...
the Bartster is still fighting the good fight. I have a slightly different approach to life, but I appreciate his anger and sense of irony.

I just wish to **** that that Manson girl would just give him a stupid call. Hey! DUers are a resourceful lot. Any chance we could get Shirley Manson to call him?

19. Bartcop is 'da man.'
When Gore lost in 2000, Bartcop and Buzzflash were the only things that kept me off zoloft. He is right about the pink tutu democrats, as evidenced as to how many voted for bush's continued tax cuts.

I was writing a check to the DNC when I heard about that friggin vote yesterday. Tore the check up. Our tutus have caved repeatedly and, like it or not admit it or not, that is part of the reason we're in such a mess. Think back to the vote certification in January 2001.

I know I should give money to the party but Goss and the recent tax cut are like gut punches and make me think I'm gonna need my money a lot more than the party since I'm stuck in this handbasket.

You don't see the networks addressing this, do you?

By the way, it is satire.

Yes, I've been a little disappointed about the way BC complains about John Kerry. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me, John Kerry's doing a great job, as attested by the gigantic crowds, and his knowledge of all the events around the world. He's a statesman, and we should all be very proud of his campaign. Since John was on Letterman, however, BC says he was pleased, and I believe he sent a contribution and is urging his fans to do the same. I love Bartcop, and believe he means well. He makes no bones about his opinion of George W.Bush
