Limited Elections in Iraq is Very Bad
This suggestion by Rummy that Iraq may have limited elections, with places plagued by violence not voting seems to invite civil war.

I think W is doing this to have an election so he can say there was an election -- but unless everybody votes then it's no different than when Saddam ruled Iraq.

Or, no different than Florida in 2000.

2. I think that Rummy might be trying to see ......
We can be talked into accepting it for Iraq - Maybe it would work here..... A couple of Big Bombs knocking out California and New York and then we could have limited elections here and Presto...... "a Landslide for the monkeyboy"......

4. Unless elections are held only in the Kurdish areas, this shouldn't...
impact the results much.

The elections will probably be relatively "free" and "fair" on paper, but security needs and corporate power will ensure that any new government is little more than a figurehead dedicated to US interests.

This is of course deliberate.
