I don't see the criticism of the book as mere gossip. It seems like there are a lot of people on the record. Like F911, what specific fact has been proven false? Nothing. How you interpret the facts is up to you.

1. I mentioned that in another thread.

She attributes quotes, anecdotes, etc. to real, actual people. I haven't seen much of anything that wasn't clearly attributed to a named source.

2. I'm up to page 145
and it's almost too well researched! (not really, I know it had to be.) Lots of dry detail and facts about GW's ancestors in this first part of the book, and I wonder if it's possible to be any more selfish, shallow, dull and ignorant than these people are. With all their money and advantages, no one was intellectually curious, or went off to see the world, to explore anything, or attempted to do anything of benefit to the world. That's my initial impression of the family tree.
So far, Barbara is coming across as a psychopathic monster, she makes Gen. Karpinski seem like Mother Theresa, and I'm just getting into the good stuff......

They're soooooooo WASP. Prescott didn't seem that bad though. it's really good. so much more than the cocaine. It really does give you an insider's view. it's well worth the money.
