4. well let's see...

  • The locals don't want us there
  • We had no good reason for going there
  • The president and his cabinet lied about our reasons for going there
  • The president and his cabinet are lying about foreign involvement
  • Politicians are making military decisions for political reasons with disastrous results
  • The troops there are not trained, equipped, or deployed to fight a guerilla war
  • The compensate for the above by killing lots of civilians


    Sounds like Vietnam to me!
