I am so pissed at people here, you immediately jump to every single negative post you find. Then we get a ton of Kerry should do this Kerry should do that posts. But if someone types I talked to another ex republican it only gets like 5 or 6 posts, if someone types Kerry healthcare plan makes sense, which it does, all of their plans make ass loads of sense, but you won't hear that at DU. You guys won't respond to anything but negative posts.

DO NOT let the media steal this again for Bush, take their power away, tell people to go online, watch the Daily Show, and F9/11.

Defeat starts with us, not them.

BTW I think I just converted two republican mormons that just came to my door.

I went to Costco this morning and purchased Kitty Kelly's book for 16.49. They had lots and lots of them. Looked like they were going fast. I checked out some the right wing books and they only had like 1 stack for each.

it is a little sad the way some people go into a panic or rage mode but to me alot of them are venting. I personally turn the other cheek. This site has 51000 registered users and maybe a third are regularly posting. I'm sure the admins have #'s on unique visits. so in the grand scheme of things as DU goes so goes the campaign, I doubt it. This is a great news resource for me. I wasn't aware of the Parlock thing till I checked in here, etc.

I say let people vent, the admins are on top of the disruptors, let's use this as a tool to get and share info.

I find myself avoiding your threads because of just this type of rant. I always feel browbeaten after reading them, which isn't much of an incentive to actually hear what you're saying, let alone follow it.

Too, Election discussions (like this one) are supposed to go in GD04. And I think you're way off base on your take on what does and does not get posts. I've been a DUer since there were about 12,000 total members, and I've NEVER been able to figure out for sure exactly what the secret formula is. Sometimes it seems to be due to a poor title, sometimes the time of day, maybe the poster (who knows?), or the prevalent mood of the day or week, or God only knows what. AND, it seems to vary from day to day, week to week. Sometimes I go fishing in the back pages to kick good threads that didn't get the attention they deserved for one reason or another (and it's rarely clear why they got ignored), as well as to find good threads I missed. GD moves fast, yet another factor.

If YOUR threads aren't getting the attention you believe they deserve, maybe it's time to remember that old saw: you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Or, barring that, remember that a many substantive posts by routinely substantive posters slip off the front page now and then. It happens.
