From DFA blog ( Democrat trying to get investigation of Delay dropped
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 04:49 PM by candy331
Have you seen other info/know of this?

ATTN: OH, TX, CA, and PA groups,

It has come to our attention here in WV, that one of our representatives, Alan Mollohan, the ranking Democrat in the House Ethics Committee, is working closely with Republican Joel Hefley of CO, to drop the investigation of Tom DeLay. According to an article in The Hill the only holdup was "Mollohan needs more time to rally his fellow Democrats to line up behind an outcome favorable to DeLay."

Wow, are we embarrassed and ashamed that this is our representative.

We immediately began spreading the word throughout Mollohan's district (luckily the district where our state DFA group is strongest) and are urging all Democrats in his constituency to call and voice their opposition to his "cooperation." We are going to be very aggressive with this.

However there are four other Democrats on that committee (presumedly the ones he wants to "line up") who should probably also get some feedback from their constituencies.

Stephanie Tubbs Jones, OH: (202) 225-7032
Gene Green, TX: (202) 225-1688
Lucille Roybal-Allard, CA-34: (202) 225-1766
Mike Doyle, PA-14: 202-225-2135, rep.doyle@mail.house.gov

2. That's not what it says
She's one of the ones that the turncoat dem wants to get on his side. Have you heard of her? Is she strong?

That TX dem is a worry. To stand up against DeLay will end it for him. But you never know- those TX dems have held tough before.

4. Yes, black congresswoman from OH. She hosted one of Kerry's
rallies up in Cleveland, I think it was. I can't believe he could get her on his side...that doesn't seem doable at all. Yikes!

Tom Delay needs an ass kicking like none before. I hope those going after him won't give up.

With Delay in the HOUSE, almost NOTHING of a dem proposal will be passed, nor will that jackass allow a NO vote on a bill to stand if he has his signature on it. He is a low brow, gutter cruising, NUTCASE!
