Another Little Girl Thread - with info from Marshall
Ok, I'm a DUer from West Virginia who goes to Notre Dame, and I have a lot of friends who go to Marshall U.

After a talk with a few of them I have this info to report:

Info Bit #1: The Parlock kids are a real interesting bunch of kids - a recent debate with one led to the conclusion by the Parlock that democrats cannot be Christians. But, that's just some fluff - here's the most interesting piece of info:

Info Bit # 2: It's total hearsay, but based on Parlock's past I cant find a reason to doubt it: The girl's crying was apparently not a response to her sign being ripped up but, according to a Marshall student who was at said rally, a response to her dad pinching her hard. When you look at the picture and see the sign in the DAD's hands and you see him not exactly angry enough to deck the guy who just hurt his daughter, it tends to fit in well.

Next piece of info: No positive IDs on kid in picture, but not all the Parlock sons go to Marshall and lack of sonship does not mean lack of setup.

Will try to glean more info as the day passes. Arent you glad you have a dude like me on the inside like a spy?

2. Look at the crying photo again...
there are two of them. Another DUer claims that the "union guy" is wearing a Marshall cap. Can you confirm?

Thanks!

4. *I* can tell you that definitely IS a Marshall cap
In that part of WV almost everyone is a Herd fan. No big surprise to see the hat student or otherwise.

Yes, it is a Marshall cap - absolutely zero doubt in my head, was also positively confirmed by my Marshal friends

My Mom's family is from Milton and I have an Aunt who lives in Hurricane (and yes I do know how to pronounce it the WV way).

11. I had thought that pinching might have been the stimulus that

caused young Sophia to cry -- it's a technique used by many parents of my parents' generation and I doubt it's died out.

But you're correct that it's hearsay, so we shouldn't make that an issue.

The main thing to point out is that this guy has a history of brandishing GOP signs at Democratic rallies and then going to reporters and whining that his signs were taken and he was roughed up in some way or other. He has never filed police charges or identified his supposed attackers, though, although he has twice claimed union members were involved. He always takes one or more of his kids along, despite the danger he's allegedly encountered in the past.

The history shows a guy who seems to enjoy provoking confrontations, despite his claims to the contrary. He's a provocateur. This time, he drew national attention.

12. even if there is a hint that she was pinched..this has to be reported
It's the job of children and youth to investigate any hint of abuse. I hope for the child sake this isn't true!
