that didn't stop every newspaper from reporting it, and when it was found to be a lie, the "retractions" were buried...not the headline news the LIE was.

This NYT article has no quotes from Rather and it is not official yet.

I'm imagining probably tonight they will make it official. But the NYT story is based on anonymous sources.
