Hey, by the way...Will Cheney EVER release Energy minutes?
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 11:17 PM by Atman
I know its an old story, but didn't a judge order him to release the minutes of his Energy meetings? Isn't this another point Kerry can slam BushCo on? Defying court orders to protect big energy companies? Or is that just getting to be too much scandal on one plate for America to digest?

After Bush loses and Cheney is on his own, can he THEN be charged with contempt and tried? Or is he setting the precedent for future governments that the courts serve at the executive branch's pleasure?

1. short answer -- NO
just saw an article about 2-3 days ago that basically said that Cheney had ultimately won, there was no way that the papers were ever going to be released.

Gee, what a surprise.

2. You think these meetings might prove that Cheney was busy, well
before 9/11, divvying up Iraq's oilfields with Big Oil, and lining up postwar reconstruction contracts with Halliburton?

I do.

4. The case went to the SCOTUS.
Cheney won. Cheney and Justice Scalia had a duck hunting safari in LA.just before the decision. Cheney paid for everything and Scalia refused to recuse himself from the decision. i don't have the vote handy, sorry.
