Republicans behind the CBS memos?

Tom Shales from the Wash Post put out the theory that the Repubs leaked the memos to Burkett and CBS. This was on Hardball with Chris Matthews.

2. Shouldn't that be part of the REAL story??

Of course the main story is still Bush and how he shirked his duty,but the real investigation should be exactly how these memo's got to this point.

Of course it worked to perfection,instead of focusing on Bush its now on CBS and Dan Rather.

3. Olberman was even better

he said that the guy who first alledge these were fakes over at FR name is Harry MacDougal (sp?) is a political activist and that he worked with Ken Star and had something to do with writing some kind of paper on Clinton (imeachment?) Keith also said that Dan Bartlett (sp?) in the white house had the copies of the memos several hours before CBS aired story and that Dan Bartlett even talked with CBS and never mentioned the documents or what the Whitehouse thought about them.

Back when the controversy started, my bf said that he betted the GOP was behind it.

Now it seems like that's what happened. If the Kerry camp was going to forge memos, I think they would have been smart enough to use the same typewriter, computer, etc that was used at the time.

And what's this I heard about it being faxed to CBS from a Kinko's in Texas?

6. It doesnt matter.

Even if they did leak the docs, CBS didnt check up on them enough. They just got caught with their manhood stuck in the fan. Please keep the tinfoil to a minimum and fight a fight we can win.
