Don't Miss the Harkin Steak Fry

Senator Tom Harkin joins Blog for America today with a reminder about this weekend's Harkin Steak Fry.

Fellow Democracy for America Supporters,

Well, it's hard to believe, but it's that time of the year again. Yes, my 27th annual Harkin Steak Fry is this weekend, Sunday the 19th in Indianola, Iowa. Last year you all helped establish Steakfry as an event not to be missed. We didn't let a little rain and a lot of mud stop us from having fun and sending our message of change. I never will forget those tee-shirts that said "Hey Harkin, the Steakfry is DEANlicious!"

This year, we'll hopefully have plenty of sun to go along with the star power at the event. Music superstar Sheryl Crow and her band will get us rocking, performing some of her greatest hits. Actor/Comedian and native Iowan Tom Arnold will get us laughing. And Elizabeth Edwards and I will have a few things to say about why we need to give George Bush a one way ticket back to Crawford, Texas.
