They want to destroy whatever free media remaains...

At this point it does not matter if the memos are real or fake, but the fact that they can use this to further cow the media. This is in some ways what the Nazis did to theirs in the 1930s, (thiough they actually killed people, here they are only going to kill their reputations), and what Mussilini did to theirs

This is part of a calculated move to finally destroy whatever remains of a free press and we all know it is precious little

So do not think they are just doing it becuae CBS used faked memos... whether they were fake or not does not matter... at this point... just that the call for an investigation has been called

It is war and it is time ALL OF YOU call your Reps and tell them, they have crossed another line and if need be, explain this to them.

I was surprised that ABC news just reported that Killian's secretary confirmed that the memos' contents do accurately reflect what was in babyBush's files at the time.

There's only one expanation for her backing the content of the memos while saying they're forged. Rove leaked fake memos, that contained accurate information to DISCREDIT THE PRESS.

OK, OK, we get it the GOP is calling for an investigation on CBS ... the reason why should scare the living daylights out of you though. It is no longer about the memos, but a free press and an independent press. Precious little of this remains, so they are using the Congress to put the final nail on it, and kill CBS. They do not believe in a free or critical press ... so lets investigate if these were fake or not, NOT THE CONTENT.

It is high time you people take a stand, because today freedom of the press is at peril. Oh and I am rarely a friend of any mainstream media, but it took guts to release those memos ... and if they are fake, is Karl Rove behind this? Dirty Tricks Rove would indeed do this ... but that is another matter for another day. These are nazi like tactics to muzzle the press.
