I don't care if the Kelley book is 100% fake.
The prospect that somebody would raise false allegations against a sitting president doesn't bother me in the damn least. Not after what I have been forced to sit through for the last dozen years.

Bill Clinton had a love child with a former Miss Arkansas. Hillary Clinton had Vince Foster murdered. Bill let cocaine run through the Mena airport. Bill Clinton shot a cruise missile into a tent and hit a camel in the ass.

Blah, blah, yadayada, squawk. I've had to put up with every unfounded, half- (or quasi-) assed rumor-presented-by-the-Whores-as-absolute-FACT for better than a decade now. So it's about damn time that the shoe got on the other foot for awhile.

It's a well known CONservative tactic: never mind whether the allegations are true, just keep flinging shit at the target and something will stick, sooner or later.

I don't give Shit One if Kitty Kelly made up every sentence in the Bush book while she smoked opium and pulled the train in some dark little San Francisco den.

It wouldn't bother me in the least if the Weather Underground has somehow taken over CBS News and is using Dan Rather to spit out lies about the Boy King's (lack of) service in the TANG.

The only thing that does bother me is that the left hasn't done NEARLY ENOUGH of this gutter warfare against the Reich Wing!

The Pugs started this crap. They deserve to get it back three times over. Let them reap the whirlwind they have sown.

:grr:

And, no, I don't give a damn "how this makes us look to the Freeps," either.

1. Here, here...................
I totally agree. This tactic has been used by the Cons for years, it's time they tasted their own recipe.

2. I agree.
I don't give a flying f*ck whether or not it is true but I do want to see it get as much air play as the swift boat liars for bush were given.

3. Your sentiment is sad.....
... and I agree with it 100%. The Repugs have been making shit up out of whole cloth for 20 years. Frankly, I think there is a lot more substance to Kelley's allegations than to most of theirs, but who cares. They made this shit pit and now they can play in it.

5. That's not the point.
Whether anyone reads the book or not, the info in it will be out there. The RW can pick it apart and defend W all they want, but to a certain degree...it makes sense. I know a lot of RWers and they have done a lot of mental and moral compromising to support this president. They tell their kids to do good in school so they'll amount to something. They tell their kids that if they get in trouble (as in DWI) they'll ruin THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. They know the DWIs are true, they've seen the Bush twins on the tabloids, they've seen a mug shot of Jeb's daughter. These things do not fit their values...their denial and rationalizing has forced the fit.

I like the Bush twins but could never connect them to the perfect Sunday school teacher Laura. Every RWer watched them give that speech at the convention. I was rather surprised at the negative response it got from the RW. That speech did not fit their view of the Bush family.

Their loyality to W compromises their own beliefs. Their loyalty is big...but it's held together by air...like a house of cards. Even a little mouse (Kitty Kelly) can topple it.

9. You are absolutely right. What the country needs is more of this
kind of dialog. I hope it escalates with each passing day. It's very entertaining!

10. no one has ever been able to sue her successfully
I wonder why that is?
Could it be that the people she writes about really do the scummy things she writes in her book... in otherwords they are mortal like the rest of us. They take drugs and screw around.

I think she's great.

It's about time. We should have been taking pages out of the RW playbook, a LONG time ago. The way I see it, WE have 8 years due us, to throw shit at them.

And there's much much MORE out there. She said that somebody ought to see what was left "on the cutting room floor," due to scared sources.
