Wolf Blitzer Makes Me Puke!
My e-mail to Wolf. Anybody who wathched him yesterday will know why it was sent.
-------

Mr. Blitzer: PLEASE WAKE UP!

You are being disingenuous or downright deceptive when you dismiss the facts of Bush's National Gueard duty because the latest "CBS Memos" are questionable, as you did yesterday.

The fact remains, Bush's undisputed official record shows:

1) He was suspended from flying status for failing to take a flight physical.

2) He never reported for duty in Alabama.

Please familiarize yourself with the official documents before further misleading your viewers.

1. STOP watching cable news.....
This should solve all of your problems. Let's see. What do you think is going to make more of a difference in Blitzer's life? An angry e-mail from a guy he's never met, or towing the line of the people who write the checks?

2. Sorry, I've never bought that line of reasoning
Strikes me as a "head-in-the-sand" approach.

3. Why? I'm not saying don't watch network news...
..or read news sites on the internet. But we give these ridiculous cable news shows way too much power and authority when in actuality they have none.

I don't know anyone who is not already a partisan either way, who watches cable news. So if you really want to know what the average joe american who is neither a rabid dem or a rabid republican is watching, and the news they are getting then watch network news.

To me it's like being Red Sox fan, going to a Sox/Yankees game at Yankee stadium, and then bitching about how there were too many yankees fans and the announcers showed a pro-yankees bias. Duh.

4. Use "Grain of Salt" reasoning, then.
I watch CNN. I watch BS-RNC, and cBS, too Sorry, but I don't have a strong enough stomach for FAUX.

I watch it all, read several print sources, listen to RCI, BBC, RA and others (shortwave is wonderful) and after sifting though TONS of bullshit, I get ONE grain of truth. and even THAT is suspect!

I snort everytime I see a promo that calls Wolfenstein the "Dean of TV Journalism" or some other "King of ALL Media"-type bullshit.

He's a whore for his paycheck. They ALL are.

5. I agree
But I'll gladly spend the two minutes it took just to let these jokers know that they are not as smart as they think -- that people are paying attention and their credibility is on the line.

8. Oh, yeah, give 'em a thistle with all the roses they get everyday.
No problem there. It sort of gives them a "Remember-Thou art ONLY a Man" moment, hopefully....

7. That's brilliant
I guess one could say that about any number of things:

If you don't like the swift boat vet ads, quit watching them.

If you don't like this country, move.

If you don't like hand guns, don't buy one.

9. I for one am glad someone's keeping an eye on these things
I don't have the constitution to watch such unmitigated nonsense, and I'm glad you're giving Leslie some feedback, HFishbine. If I were writing the email, I'd probably ratchet back the vitriol, and place it more in the context of, "You are apparently not aware of" this or that fact concerning whatever issue it is that he's whitewashing for the administration today. (Then I'd drop in a dig about being a mere cube rat who doesn't make a big, fat salary to not know what I'm talking about on a national station, so my resources for finding out the truth are rather limited.)

Meanwhile, I'll work on things that support the Kerry campaign and progressive causes that I have more expertise in doing. Keep up the good work!
