don't play the stupid Rove/media game. He would love nothing more than to NOT TALK about issues.

Look at Kerry's speech on medical expenses.

Look at today's speech in Mich about shrub being a "teflon president"

Don't play the stupid game.

1. that's why the media gave so much air time to the gun issue
a 'wedge' issue. Now I support the assault ban and think it very important, but it won't sway voters...not enough of them

2. Exactly. That's why they did it .
To divert attention away from the real message.

3. You are EXACTLY right
The repukes have gotten the electorate focused on crap that DOES NOT matter instead of on the real issues. We are in danger here, and we need to focus on what Kerry will do to make this country better, not on what MAY have happened 35 years ago!

“On everything from prescription drugs to retirement security to Medicare and Social Security, George W. Bush has made the wrong choices and seniors are paying the price,” Kerry said. “With a dragging economy and skyrocketing costs, he’s driving our seniors right out of the middle class. So seniors are getting squeezed like never before – but for big drug companies, these truly are the golden years.”

“When it comes to our nation’s senior citizens, George W. Bush has made all the wrong choices, and the result is that the members of our greatest generation are still making the greatest sacrifices,” Kerry said.

“John Edwards and I will set America in a new direction,” Kerry said. “We’ll strengthen Social Security to give you the financial security you’ve earned. When it comes to health care and Medicare, we’re going to put you first. Medicare doesn’t belong to the special interests, it belongs to you. You paid for it.”

6. Perfect. Kerry takes the high road, we take the low.
Kerry focuses on issues and acts classy and presidential while his attack dogs (Maher, Franken, Carville, us) sling the dirt. Sounds like a good two-pronged strategy.
