Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 09:31 PM by democrat in Tallahas
I think it's coming out folks, people are starting to put all the pieces together. Article in the Nation, CBS continues to work on the story, kitty kelly. It's only a matter of time now. They can only threaten so many people.

1. Deep down, it won't matter.
Repukes will continue to defend and vote for him regardless. A video could be turned in of Dumbya slapping a woman around and then dragging her to his room or something and they will still support him.

4. These Homo habilis types do not constitute a majority.
The dam is gonna burst, the denial will crumble for a majority of the people, and once any portion of the magic shield crumbles, the whole thing will fall apart. Cocaine-->AWOL-->WMD lies-->etc. The whole row of domines will come down. Shrub will be lucky to hang onto 40% of the electorate, the True Believers who will harden up their denial & crawl into their bunkers with their AK-47s.

5. JR, I do hope so much you're right
But I don't share your optimism.

He will get at least 40% of the vote, and probably more than that. I would drink a quart of lumpy, sour milk if he doesn't. :puke:

Probably a reference to the AWB ending.

12. AK-47 is a popular style of assault rifle
made all over the old Communist-bloc nations & in worldwide use, as in millions of them in Iraq, etc. Although fully auto in their military format, I think they have also been sold in a semi-auto form in the US.

Seems that H. habilis is a little far up the evolutionary ladder.

2. George W. Bush could have fucked turtles
Doesn't matter, the sheep will still vote for him because they hate Democrats and liberals so much.

Can Democrats truly win this election based on the Idiot King's dirty laundry? I'm starting to have my doubts.

3. I'm hoping ...
I'm hoping against hope that there are "a few good conservatives" who come forward to tell the truth about GWB. For example, there must be somebody who could confirm his numerous indiscretions. All it would take is two or three honest and respected people who have seen them in action.

Gosh, I don't want to have to say President Jeb Bush. :(

We can only hope that a few more people come forward against the current and expose the Bush Family truths.

6. Why such negativity?
Bush's bounce is over! Obivously the news within the past week has had some effect on the small margin of people in battleground states who used to favor Bush.

There has been mention of an ongoing series of news related to Bush's performance in the National Guard. I think its fairly obvious, from all the attention Dan Rather is receiving, that something very MAJOR is just about to peak into the limelight. I just hope that the attacks on CBS are not having an effect and that they forge ahead.

10. I don't consider myself negative
But I highly doubt that almighty magic bullet will surface that will send Bush down in flames. It won't be that simple.

This will be a close election, right down to the wire. If the fact that I don't hold out for miracles makes me "negative", well so be it.

21. Also, polling doesn't always capture....
all the specific groups that have now turned against Bush and who are energized to vote against him, who didn't necessarilly feel that way in 2000: blacks, gays, people who want a plan to end the war, young people who fear a draft, the millions of recently unemployed, the elderly who depend on Medicare... Oh I almost forgot, the shrinking middle class.

7. No
Unfortunately. The so-called liberal media is spending much more time on whether those memos are fake than whether Il Dunce was a coke fiend or whether he lied about his gaurd service. They will do the bare minimum of "reporting" on allegations about Bush's lies, drug use etc and then lap up whatever misleading crap the Bush Campaign spews out as a distraction.

15. I am not very hopeful. * has so much incriminating stuff as pResident
already that it should be enough for anyone, no matter how ignorant or stupid to see it. Yet forty something percent of the American electorate are still willing to support him.

Other than some sort of legal scandal where he and his cronies are indicted, I doubt that there is anything that can make the people who have supported him so far change their minds.

16. couple of problems
First, the bush dwarf could gut and devour a human baby on prime time TV and most of the little turd's followers would find some way to spin it as a positive. They'd be blaming Clinton for it by 10:00 the next morning.

Second, the bushgang own 99% of the molecules in the lake. Their control of the media will contain any damage.

I think it will take more than "news" and "elections" (twin shams) to dislodge the neocon oligarchy.

20. Dan Rather is taking the AWOL document blowback a little TOO calmly
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 11:07 PM by rocknation
I don't think he's played his trump cards yet. The Bush regime is definitely worried about something. That's why they've arranged for every media outlet to gang up on CBS. And it would also explain why they've started using the polls as a weapon of mass demoralizing for Kerry supporters.

22. Maybe Dan Rather and CBS...
will now dig even deeper ito the cess pool of the Bush Crime Family.
The community service, the reason that W. refused to take the physical, why he changed his driver's license #, the expunded Court case. The Bushmoonies would still vote for him but most swing voters wouldn't if the real info about W's real past surfaced with undisputable docs.

23. Repugs are like people with a cheating spouse
Deep down, they know the person they love is cheating...all the signs are there. But they will never believe it until they see it first hand. Same with the wingnuts, it doesn't matter how much evidence there is against the BFEE, they will believe whatever they are told.

25. Reality: It's a non-issue...Keep hammering away at what a failure...
bush is as a president. That is the way we'll win, we've got to stick to the proof that this guy has done NOTHING for the country as a whole. Can anyone come up with ONE domestic policy this pinhead had come up with that has beneffited the nation? No one can, and THAT is where we will beat him....:)
