Junior Democrats Club (I am starting one at school. Need suggestions)
I need some suggestions for comunity service stuff at for the Junior Democrats Club I am starting. Please. I am open to anything.

of Habitat For Humanity near you. Jimmy Carter started this and people get together and build houses for people who couldn't afford them otherwise. It's kind of a Christian Group but they can use all the help they can get and they don't try to convert you or anything. Here's a link to their website:

The best thing is you get to work with like minded people and you get to learn some skills that are useful in the real world.

Also welcome to DU, it's nice to see young blood here, we have a tendancy to be old and grumpy sometimes :toast:

sign up voters, work for who ever is the dem candidate for senate/house....amendments that interest you....

What state are you in?

5. Volunteer with local campaigns to do some door to door work
And then make sure your team gets together for a small party afterward. Always reward people for showing up to a big project.

It's great experience dealing with people, learning to speak clearly and directly on big complex issues, and it gets you know by the local members of the party.

6. Working with seniors
Most communities with a center for senior services would love to have volunteers of all stripes and talents! Also consider volunteering at your local food bank.
