"This war is not over, but we are winning. And our soldiers have not died in vain. The Taliban has been crushed. Saddam Hussein is in jail. And Osama Bin Laden is on the run.

3. My problem is not with Hastert.
It's with the 200 or so Democrats who voted for this resolution (including Pelosi and most of the prominent House dems, even though it specifically called the Iraq war part of the War on Terrorism.

Idiots.

6. I agree with you.
They should not let Hastert say this, they should not have signed that resolution.

5. He forgot to add:
* Iraq's infrastructure is in ruins.
* We've got millions of Arabs and Muslims around the world wanting to kill us now, instead of just a vocal minority.
* Iraq is now full of Al-Qaeda activists and sympathizers who've flooded in from all over the Middle East.
* Our troops are not only continuing to die, but continuing to kill innocent civilians, journalists, and children.
* Afghanistan is a mess.
* Al-Qaeda continues to thrive and grow.
