this started as a tongue in cheek response to the crazy sciafe-sponsored clinton allegations, but it is a good compilation, and an interesting read.

3. Helen Thomas.
She had been a member of the White House press corps since (I think) JFK, but when she started asking tough questions of Ari Fleischer she was shoved to the back of the room and they wouldn't call on her any more.

And I wonder how they will "punish" Kitty Kelley?

6. General Shinseki, too.
They didn't like it when he said they would need a lot more troops in Iraq. Of course, he was right, but they screwed him.

13. I hope Kitty takes a notepad.
She can write down the names of all the other bodies in the alley and make her next 4 million, as long as she wears her bushit proof vest.

16. Kwiatkowski, John Dean, John McCain (2000), Cleland
And Paul O'Neill was cast as a disgruntled employee, and "why would we listen to him now if we didn't listen to him when he was here?"

His was a CABINET LEVEL position for goodness sakes!!! This man had credibility galore and nobody is talking about the disdain he had for Bush's abilities.

John Dean's book was scathing....interesting that we didn't hear squat from the WH about him or his book. Should be required reading....but has faded into the dull buzz of disasters surrounding this administration.

John McCain as defined by Wingers in 2000: the only captive that gained weight as POW; possibly insane from Vietnam ordeal, unbalanced at the very least; wife an addict; illegitimate child of mixed race.

17. Blix. Killian, Kofi Anan, France, Germany, etc.....
And by the way, this list has some real power to it. The sheer number of high level administration dissenters combined with the ways they were discredited illustrates a clear pattern of smearing that all can see. We forget some of what has gone on...these lists are important.

I wish....I WISH some news outlet, talk show, or 527 would air a comprehensive list like this. This is important and would help discredit a Kerry smear as par for the course.

There it is, plain as day. Smear the messenger, muddy the waters, distract from the message.

20. John DiIulio
Former head of faith-based initiatives resigned and wrote a screed calling the Bush administration the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis. Got a call from Rove the next day and retracted his criticism.

The name, however, still stuck.
