More Than 10,000 Iraqis Die Violently in Baghdad Region Alone
by Bassem Mroue

BAGHDAD, Iraq - While America mourns the deaths of more than 1,000 of its sons and daughters in the Iraq campaign, far more Iraqis have died since the United States invaded in March 2003. No official, reliable figures exist, but private estimates range from 10,000 to 30,000 killed across the nation.

the biggest variable it seems is Iraqi Soldiers
I've read everything from 2,000+ to 20,000+
(2,000 is a joke IMO)

-number of those who have died from illness due to lack of medical supplies, unsafe water etc.?

-number of wounded/disabled on all sides?

3. Remember baby Ali?
he died last April in Iraq after suffering all 3 short months of his life from to malnutrition and dehydration. There are hundreds and perhaps thousands of babies that will suffer the same fate.
