Is the "Freedom Tower" tempting fate?
Sorry if this comes across as disrespectful...

So, the two highest towers on the New York skyline, the seat of the world's economic power elites, were targeted and destroyed by a well-financed and highly organised terrorist organization which has yet to be brought to justice.

And what was the American response to this act of terrorism? Why, to build an even taller tower in their place...

I'm sorry, but does this seem to be an act of unbelievable hubris?

LIke I say, I hope I don't come across as disrespectful, because that's not my intention.

2. No.

I would've preferred updated twin towers, but I'm glad they're building something tall.

The likelihood of a 9-11 style attack is almost nil, security is tight and the passengers would overpower the hijackers.

No.

Not rebuilding would be a pathetic statement of defeat.

3. And don't forget.
Its a really ugly and stupid looking building. I really don't like it at all. The unpopulated part is only there for radio and TV antennas.
The tite is even worse. I don't like it.

4. The name is perfect
"The Freedom Tower"

Named as a memorial for all the freedoms and civil rights we have lost since September 11th, 2001 due to a power hungry and tyrannical government.

5. A disaster... would you want to have offices in the biggest
target in NYC?

Memorial and group of smaller, but beautiful buildings would have been better.

7. OMG, that's what they named it?!
That name alone, like "Patriot Day", is an insult.

("World Trade Center Day" makes more sense. "Patriot Day" makes it sound like those who died did so in order to allow * to continue his rampage unabated.)
