At least Billy Jack Goes to Washington is down near the bottom. Freepers will probably vote it up.

3. Sorry. My favorite is "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington."
To me, it's the classic Democrat versus Republican machine. But I see that mostly Democrats have responded and that F9/11 is in the top five.

6. But the big issue was Mr. Smith's filibuster against a bill
that would have approved a dam that would have flooded a youth camp -- seems like the classic environment versus big business fight to me. Mr. Smith was a man of the people who believed in democracy. The thugs who tried to shut down the press back home certainly reminded me of Republicans.

I think actors play roles that are "against type" all the time. Carol O'Connor comes to mind -- he was certainly no Archie Bunker in real life! :D I don't know if Jimmy Stewart was an "RW" but he'll always be one of my favorites.
