Are people that STUPID. The polls indicate bush has momentum
I picked up a paper last night and here are some of the stories I saw:

Since the War Began At least 20 Americans have died each month
Fighting in Baghdad Threatens Cease-Fire brokered in An-Najaf
422 billion deficit in 04 projected.

Gaps found in Bush's Guard Duty
Gun makers set for end of assault-weapon ban
Senator's book rips White House on terror probe

Former Medicare Administrator should reimburse the Health and Human Services Department for half his 145600 salary on grounds he improperly ordered his agency's top actuary to withhold cost estimates from congressional Democrats

There are other stories, mostly not favorable to bush, yet this administration is not touched by it.

Has the country really changed that much? This is a nightmare!
Between the deficiet and unending wars we should not be in, I have become very ashmed of this country by allowing such an administration to be in power, and the polls indicate they admire the idiot! What does that say about America?

1. Scary, isn't it?
If you believe the stories of his support.I was thinking the eact same thing today as I watched the news. How could anybody vote for such an incompetant fool?I think that we will win but a lot of Americans drank the cool aid , and that is because they proudly chose stupidity.

3. I hope you are right
In the next two weeks we better start to turn this around

What is so frustrating is that we have the issues on our side!!!

It used to be that a woman's right to choose was favored by the country. Do they realize that if bushy gets in there will be a very real threat that roe v wade will be overturned, stem cell research shelfed?

Does the middle class understand that the corporations are making a play to control the government, and if that happens there will be NO MIDDLE CLASS!

6. Me too!
I think this goes beyond intelligence to "my guy, right or wrong" mentality. Which is dangerous. I had a long conversation with a friend yesterday. I don't get out of my house much these days and rarely talk to anyone on the phone. My friend told me that where she works, they are all for bush. These would be nurses aids and such. People who will clearly be hurt by this administrations policies. She went on to say that the men here are all for bush and their wives and girlfriends tend to support whoever their husbands support. When I ask WHY? WHY do they like this guy? She said they like him cause he says what he means and sticks to it. And they all think Kerry is a wishy washy dude who does not take a stand on anything. It doesn't matter that bush is wrong on an issue, just that he stands up for what he believes and Kerry doesn't BELIEVE anything, according to them. Go figure.

There's more to it but I'm done for tonight.

5. It says we're idiots.

There is not a single country IN THE WORLD who's majority is not sure whether or not to trust * except America(And Israel of course). We are the ONLY country who doesn't know of all the lies, the murders, the greed, the treasonous acts, the warmongering, the globalization, the fear inducing, the environmental destruction, the WAR CRIMEs, the mass graves in Afghanistan, the mass graves that are sure to be uncovered in Iraq, the puppet governments we install. The most sickening thing to me is that WE aren't sure he's going to lose in Nov.

7. Boggles the mind, doesn't it?

I can't believe the number of people who still think that four more years under the current "administration" (I'm sorry, I just can't call it that and keep a straight face) will be a good thing, in the face of the evidence.

8. The world looks on....
I just read an article in a Swedish newspaper which is quite sad (or quite good if you like me want Kerry to win).

Research and polls have indicated that:
30 of 35 countries prefer Kerry over Bush. The only countries that prefer Bush are The Philippines, Nigeria and Poland. India and Thailand are undecided.

Total numbers: 46% of all prefer Kerry vs. Bush who got 20%.

In Sweden (where I am from) the numbers are 58% for Kerry, and only 10% for Bush!

Bush has damaged the US reputation like crazy - and no-one really cares who Kerry really is, they just want Bush GONE. That is how bad things are!

Do the world a favor and make sure you vote!!!!! (and vote for the right guy).

9. On that issue alone we should win
After 9/11 the country was united, and the world was behind us. Today, the world hates us, and the country is divided

I hope that young people, and the disenfrancished will be voting, our entire democracy is at stake...

12. WRONG, false bravado
Americans like to kick ass. Doesn't matter whose ass, doesn't matter why. In too many people's minds, if we're kicking ass we'll always be on the top of the heap and that's all that matters to them. False pride, false bravado, false sense of superiority. Manifest destiny, good ol' American values.
