Bush zombies do not respect civility and decency
that is the conclusion i have come to. i have never heard of kerry supporters heckling bush when he lies in public, but wherever kerry speaks, you are sure to find a group of fucked up lunatics who love drowning out what they do not want to hear.

Kerry Confronts Pennsylvania's Quiet Struggles, Loud Jeers

The passions of this tight presidential election unfolded here Monday on a leafy, working-class street lined with sturdy brick houses, many festooned with patriotic bunting in honor of Labor Day.

There was a cluster of supporters for President Bush who pressed up against a barricade, trying to drown the Democratic candidate out with shouts of "flip flop" and "liar" as he spoke to a group of residents.

When Kerry discussed the tax burden of the "average American," one protester down the street jeered: "Yeah, you're average, John!"

Without missing a beat, Kerry retorted: "Just to answer that guy — because he's right, I'm privileged — my tax burden went down, and I don't think that's right.

"I think your tax burden ought to go down," he said.

One 70-year-old woman told Kerry that she's had 11 throat surgeries and had to get a part-time job to pay for her medicine.

"This is not fair that at this age we have to suffer like this," she said.

Against the din of the protesters, Kerry responded: "Now, here again is truth that some people don't like to hear. But truth is truth."

When the Bush supporters began to chant loudly, "Four more years!" Kerry spoke of the increasing federal deficit.

"Every one of those folks screaming over there actually has a bigger debt to pay," he said.

8. Sweet
I hate violence and the commotion. But seeing three guys corral this monkey was a joy only after seeing the kicking of the downed Dem at he GOP Lie fest.

4. I was there ...
I volunteered at this small invite-only event. The Bushies were hateful. Most were behind a barricade (no different, mind you, than the one the unlisted Kerry supporters had to stand behind, expect for the media tour busses blocking their view) but some could not be denied access to their homes within the barricade. Which wouldn't be a problem if they weren't so damn disrespectful. There were 3 women on one porch silently holding a * banner, which is well within their rights... stupid, but at least they had class about it. There is a photo of them on the PPG site
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04251/374641.stm

One of the women has a son that served in Iraq as a military policeman, and is voting against Kerry because he "voted against funding that would have outfitted U.S. soldiers in Iraq with body armor". Luckily, the PPG also interviewed a vet that explained the faulty thinking in that claim (thank you, BushCo). I wanted so badly to ask Kerry to discuss the difference in their views on women - but the theme was labor, sooo ...
Most of the Bushies were ignorant red-neck types who found it amusing to try and shout over Kerry and many of them were young kids. They were too young to vote (phew!) and probably enlisted by their chicken-shit parents. The supporters kept it incredibly civil by ignoring the turds, while I was becoming seriously pissed. They were doing the equivalent of sticking their fingers in their ears, squeezing their eyes shut and shouting LA LA LA LA LA LA at the top of their lungs ... like that's going to change the truth. Apparently, they can't handle it. The coup de grace was when that 70 year-old who had 11 throat surgeries, was struggling to explain her prescription drug plight (had to get a part time job to pay for them!) ... and the bastards screamed over her. Kerry could barely hear her and she was 2 feet away with a microphone. His response was "While the Bush people were rudely shouting, we had a 70-year-old woman trying to speak" according to PPG, but I thought he had said something to the effect of "trying to be heard". The point is, Kerry handled their shit so well(even turning some of the taunts back on them), that the supporting majority didn't have to say a word to the "jag offs".

there were a number of cameramen between us. And I weigh 110 lbs. And I was wearing a skirt. With one hour of sleep. Otherwise that can of whoop-ass would have been popped, ya know?

9. They made that clear during the Florida recounts
I'll never forget the Bush thugs blocking access to the building and harrassing the counters while the recount was going on in Dade County.
