It's A War, Stupid! Now, they tell us???? (Must read...)

All this time, as our young men and women were being sacrificed, and as the coalition forces were dying...and as the Iraqis were being killed, - we were told a whole slew of lies:
---the Americans were being fought by Saddam's Ba'athist holdouts
---no, the uprisings were being led by a small group of thugs.
---no, the fighting was being led by Al Qaeda terrorists
---no, the trouble was the result of foreigners coming in to Iraq
---no, it was all the fault of a handful of extremists
---no, it was the fault of Sunis in Fallujah
...uh..no, it was the fault of Shia in Sadr City

And now, slowly, but surely, there are rumblings in the media that the fighting in Iraq is being waged by the IRAQI PEOPLE who refuse to accept the invasion and occupation of their country. Duh!

But the fighting and the death and the morass continue. So, tell me something..... How is that some people KNEW this so long ago?
