Costa Rica's highest Court : Support for Iraq war unconstitutional
The Costa Rican Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court just voted unanimously that the government must ask the Bush administration to remove Costa Rica's name from the "Coalition of the Willing", since it was unconstitutional to support the war in Iraq.

Although there was widespread opposition to the war here, our stupid and stubborn government supported it. In fact, our President once said "I don't like anyone dying, but I had to choose between the death of Arab children or the massive death of American and Costa Rican children, what do you think I prefer?" :grr: :grr: :grr:

Thats what like five out of thirty? I am confident that most of the European "allies" will heed the demands of their people. For some of the smaller and poorer island nations the lure of American bribes will be too great.

2. Yep...
I have no idea what the US offered Costa Rica's government, but it must have been good.

Now we will be out out the "coalition", but we will never be out of Fahrenheit 911 :P

3. Costa Rica - I don't get it
Costa Rica does not even have a military. It has been forbidden by that country's constitution to have a military since, I think, the 1940s.

How in the world did they wind up on the Shrub Regime's Coalition of the Bribed list? (oops - heh - did I just answer my own question :))
