Why does Dan Rather hate freedom?
60 Minutes rocked it! I hope this is finally the one scandal that brings the monkey down!

1. 60 MIN was taken off in a lot of places.
In some areas CBS took it off. In others the Cable company "broke down" on CBS station only.

2. I don't think it's just Dan Rather, I think it's journalist in general who
allow their bosses to dictate what they write when it comes to just reporting. Since big corporate media giants love Bush, they force their reporters to put him in a good light. It's David and Goliath, however, it still amazes me how much Bush is hated because the message is still getting through. People will never forget Bush never won our votes, our minds our hearts. John Kerry wins them without even trying.

3. Viacom is headed by a Democrat and CBS has the fairest rep out there.

7. Believe me, I know, I only watch 60 Minutes and CBS Nightly News.
It's all we have left, although, sometimes even CBS won't take the plunge and tell the whole truth.

5. I just got home
I'm currently getting a 60 Minutes program on Robert Duvall from my Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate. I had set my VCR to start recording at 8pm... Did the good segment happen already?

10. I have always admired Dan Rather
I remember well his reporting from Vietnam...he was brave and honest then. He must be still very brave now to take to break this story, because you know the pressure that must have been put on CBS and him too. I think I will start watching CBS again! It was also Rather that insisted on putting a "face" on the war by showing pictures every night of young people that have died recently in Iraq, then giving a short bio of the dead soldier/s. He's a REAL journalist, not a talking-head personality.

11. CBS is the only network that shows the faces
of those fallen and something about their lives. Kudos to them. I'm glad somebody does. We need to see the faces and not just numbers. We need to be reminded that its the faces, the lives and dreams of these people that are being sacrificed. If more people saw this the war would be much less popular.
