One decision I've made..

...Except while I'm at work, I will be wearing a Kerry button, a Kerry t-shirt (which I don't own yet), or anti-Bush gear EVERYWHERE I GO.

It may not convince the die-hard republican, but for those who are wavering, or who need reinforcement for supporting Kerry, it may help. It will also show the rethugs that people DO NOT approve of the idiot in office.

Anyone else want to join me? Or is this a silly idea?

1. I'm already doing it. :-)
Have had mostly positive remarks.

Last night, though, a guy said to me, "Let me guess. You aren't voting for Bush." I replied with a smile, "Ha!" and then my face became serious as I said, "No, and I can't understand why anyone in Mississippi would." No reply from him. :-)

3. good for you!

Doing that in Mississippi especially! I'm already in a blue state, but there are alot of conservatives in neighboring communities. That's the thing, I'm not sure what I can really do since I'm already in a blue state.

I'm glad you're out there doing that. Makes me feel a little better this morning. This election is getting so ugly.

2. Not silly at all!!!
I think it's highly supportive and you're absolutely correct about giving a reinforcement to Kerry supporters. Over the past week with the RNC and Kerry castigater network working overdrive, every time I went out I was looking for a bumper sticker, sign, hat, t-shirt...anything. I live in a Republican stronghold...I really needed to see something Kerry.

This morning after dropping my daughter off at school, I saw my FIRST Kerry bumper sticker! It was a Veterans for Kerry sticker. And although I've seen a few (very few!!) others, they have all been on out of state plates. Oddly, Missouri, Florida and Ohio were where those were from. But seeing a LOCAL car with a Kerry bumper sticker made me jump for joy and lift me up!!

7. I've been doing this since we knew Kerry would be the nominee.
I have had many remarks...I posted a LOOOONG story about a Radio Shack employee who told me he should kick me out of his store for wearing a Kerry t-shirt....THAT was an interesting day.

I also keep bumperstickers and buttons in my purse so if someone DOES make a comment, I can say.."Do you want a button and bumpersticker?" I've handed out MANY, MANY of them.

The other day, I was at a stop light and there was a car behind me and the passenger got out and came to my window and asked where I got my bumperstickers....I gave her 2 buttons and a bumpersticker.

I was in a parade Saturday marching for my Congressman "to be" and gave out 4 Kerry buttons while I was there...The ladies asked me where I got mine so, I gave each of them a button. It works! Spread the word!

My 11 year old son wears Kerry t-shirts to school...all the time. He gets a LOT of grief for it too because we live in freeperville. He says he doesn't care because Bush is a terrible prez and he wants Kerry to win. Just last Friday when I went to pick him up at school in my Kerry/anti-Bush bumpersticker laden car, my son had on a Kerry shirt and when he opened the car door a bunch of boys, waiting for the bus, yelled out..."GO BUSH! GO BUSH! My son just rolled his eyes and got in the car and said..."Do you believe these people?" :)

I think it's a GREAT idea! Not silly at all.

8. In Kansas, there's a
jewelry store doing absolute landslide business selling Kerry bumpers, stickers, yard signs, and so on.
