The Federal Marriage Amendment reminds me of the Nazi-era Nuremberg Laws
And I think if this connection can be made, the FMA should be stopped right now.

If we remember, Hitler and the Nazis didn't massacre 12 million people in one day. He did it over a period of several years. And the first thing they did wasn't to kill people, the the first thing the Nazis did was 'legally' dehumanize the Jews.

How were they dehumanized? Besides being compared to animals and many other things, they also lost the right to marry non-Jews.

Fast Forward to 2004. Here we are with the Federal Marriage Amendment. Guess what it will do? It will strip a certain group from the right to marriage. There are many proponents to the FMA, some of them want to see the same people who this amendment discriminate against be put to death.

Remember the saying: Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

Let's not forget what happened and make sure this 21st century Nuremberg Law never comes to pass, although the FMA was defeated in the Senate, it will rear it's evil head again in another form. If we don't take a stand, 4 years from now, our Nation and our People could be in serious trouble.

2. Yes this marriage law has ominous reprocussions for us all
I hope that non-gays will see this and stop the silly non-sense that the gay life-style is an attack on the straight life-style.

You don't have to understand to be tolerant.

4. 1933: Reichstag outlawed marriage between Aryans and non-Aryans
(read, Jews specifically). Didn't want blood mixing and ruining the Thousand Year Reich.
