In a great mood here in Texas. Our 4th annual Labor Day Picnic was a
success despite being rainy. The Dem. women made over a $1000 on our cake aution (and it took place after the food and speeches when only the hard core was left. We are doing it earlier next year.) The speeches were great. We had Jan Patterson and Diane Henson (running for judges against really, really bad, inexperienced or no experience repukes.)Bob Gammage, old time Texas Dem., who said that when Dems vote, that Dems win. All in all a great day for Democrats deep in the heart of repuke country. We are not dead and we will fight to win!!!

4. My daughters and one SIL and 2 grandsons were there. We are all very
liberal/feminists/progressives (really shouldn't speak for the 7 month old and the 2 year old but know my daughter and SIL I am pretty sure they will grow up on the right path.) How can any thinking person be anything but a pregressive person? It really is beyond me.

2. Labor Day activities
Labor Day weekend festivities went well here in Eagle Butte, South Dakota too (a Democratic enclave in a generally Republican state) Tom Daschle and Tim Johnson and Stephanie Herseth all came by for at least part of the festivities. There is no doubt that this enclave will come out in big numbers for Daschle and Herseth in tight races, but races where the Democrats are thought to have a slight edge.

3. OMG, our little picnic seem pretty silly compared to that. I am so
IMPRESSED!. But still, for our very, very , very conservative town, it was a nice day.
