bush fakes being born again to wash away all the cocaine stories
because everyone knows that once you've accepted christ as your personal savior, all past sins are automatically forgiven. even a dirty old boozer and cocaine snorter/smuggler can be forgiven, so it's a perfect hoax. pretend to be a bornagain, and the rest falls into place. unless you're Bill Clinton, then even being a christian don't work.

3. Either way the cocaine story should help us.
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 06:51 PM by stilpist
I understand that they'll try to pass the cocaine story off as "old" news, ... when I was young and foolish ..., etc., and that since it (maybe) all happened before * was "born again" it doesn't really matter.

But somebody ought to be able to use it to raise significant doubts. Maybe all that cocaine is why he wasn't paying attention to the PDB that warned about Bin Laden. Maybe the cocaine is why he pulled that goofy Iraq invasion instead of chasing al Quaeda, as a less addled leader would do. Maybe, ... well, there are more inventive minds than mine.

We can't really expect to crack the true believers anyway. But maybe enough in the middle can be convinced he has to go.

edit: maybe coherent now.

6. You're right. How come Jesus never tells these types to avoid
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 06:55 PM by stopbush
getting behind the wheel of a car? No. They can spend 30 years frying their brains, but as soon as they get born again, all those ruined synapses suddenly start firing again.

I'd love it if once - just ONCE - one of these guys would say, "hey, I really screwed up. Jesus saved me, and I now realize that I blew all my gifts. Thank the Lord I'm still alive. At least he gave me that, and that's enough. I won't expect to drive the car (or ship of state) though, because I also realize I've lost the wherewithal to do so effectively. He saved my soul. My body (and mind), however, is still a ticking time bomb."

Hey, the world needs ditch diggers, too! (what movie is that from?)

19. BUT . . . If it happened in poppy's reign
it happened AFTER the little shit was allegedly born again.

He just had to be born again, though. He can't do anything right the first time.

5. The dates look fishy
W claims to be clean and sober ever since his 4oth birthday, which was on July 6, 1986.

Pappy was president from 1989 to 1993.

So if W used coke at Camp David during Pappy's term, it happened after the born-again clean and sober kicked in, right? Must have been a slip?

I guess he could argue that he used coke at Camp David during Reagan's presidency. Will W come out and explain the discrepancy to us?

7. The BIG Question
Bush's past crimes and addictions are relevant, even after he has been in office for nearly four years ...

... Because we have a right to know, as citizens and voters, what kind of character and personal history a man has who sent 1000 troops to their deaths, got thousands wounded, and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis killed and injured.

Why wasn't he honest and up front with us four years ago? It may be late to undo the 2000 Supreme Court appointment of Bush, but if this kind of man would lie about something as debilitating as drug use, why wouldn't he lie about weapons of mass destruction?

Old story? Not important anymore?
Tell that to the families of the dead American GIs.

8. if a democrat president had snorted peru & drank a distillery
he'd have been pillaried and cut up and burned and hung, but w get's a pass because he was SUPPOSED to be the president cause daddybush said so. there is virtually no sin in w's past that cannot be forgiven and forgotten to the die hard, mentally confused republicans.

17. Could Boosh have been a guest of Camp David when Pappy was VP?
Do VP's get to use Camp David? The dates are more consistent if he was at Camp David when Daddy was VP.

9. Bush reads that pet goat book everywhere he goes!
The Goat is a Satanic Symbol! Who does Bush REALLY Pray to?

The numbers on Bush's coke use don't add up? None of the numbers Bush spits out EVER add up! In case you've never noticed Bush lies every time he reads a speech! Lying is breaking God's commandments the last time I looked, unless the GOPers have sneaked around and amended the Ten Commandments! Bush never pardoned the "Born Again" woman on death row in Texas, he simply made fun of her and went ahead and killed her! Then there's "Thou Shalt Not Kill"!

Bush is 100% grade A BULLSHIT!

18. Good point...
Being "born again" doesn't make one immuned to accountability. If I recall correctly, several of Bush's executions in Texas were confessed "born again" Christians, but were still executed. Such was the fate of Karla Faye Tucker.

Following Bush's example, he can be "born again" for the sake of his "next life" but must still face accountability in this life...

Many in this administration are students and followers of Leo Strauss, who advocated the use of religion to control the masses.
